Pros – Good environment to learn new technologies, everybody is laid-back and very friendly. Good opportunity to work in very hands-on environment, small groups, good benefits in terms of salary and time off.
Cons – Major decisions made by people who have no long term strategy or vision for the company. Not enough focus on marketing/sales, so don't make money.
Advice to Senior Management – Figure out how to make money.
Pros – Competitive compensation to other similar companies.
Cons – Client Services division gets results at the expense of staff. No compensation is worth that kind of treatment. If you are not an engineer, or a white male, you will be mistreated or marginalized.
Advice to Senior Management – Client Services leadership is only concerned with bonuses and needs to change. You may "get results" but the way staff is treated is resented. That means you won't get anyone recommending people come work at Zix. In fact, you'll get the opposite.
No, I would not recommend this company to a friend
Pros – great co-workers, small company environment
Cons – financial stability, managment not big picture forward thinking

Pros – Decent salaries and benefits
Nice building to work in, but commute is awful for most employees
Cons – The highest levels of management (and even some director-level) don't know what they are doing. They think they do, they have a lot of confidence, but in the end they make horrible decisions. They are technical, with no project management or people management skills. No cost-benefit analysis is ever required for any project (big or small) they take on. They bleed money, all from poor leadership and questionable executive decisions.
Advice to Senior Management – Consider taking some business classes
