Great place to work for a first job.

Anonymous Employee (Former Employee)

I worked at Zoup! part-time

ProsHours are reasonable, pay is decent, easy to stay busy and not be bored, and you get to partake in the food!

ConsI don't see a lot of opportunity for career growth, but I think that's to be somewhat expected in a restaurant chain.

Great

Crew Member (Former Employee)
Lansing, MI

I worked at Zoup! part-time for less than a year

ProsAwesome managers, great crew, fast paced, flexible and very friendly

ConsPay is not great. Good job for a student but not for a career unless you decide to become the owner. The awesome thing is that the owners don't hold you back if a better opportunity comes your way.

Best company I have ever worked for

Shift Leader (Current Employee)
Troy, MI

I have been working at Zoup! full-time for less than a year

ProsSo many awesome career opportunities for anyone and everyone. If your willing to work hard, their willing to work hard to make you succeed. Great people, great food and great work rythem. I plan to stay with this company if not until retirement, for a very long while.

ConsIv encountered some people taking advantage of the company because its so laid back. But no cons with the company itself.

Advice to Senior ManagementThere should be some kind of customer loyalty card all year round. Example: ten visits you gets a free meal under $10 i feel this will attract people to keep coming back.

Great culture, product, and overall vision of the company.

Anonymous Employee (Former Employee)

I worked at Zoup! full-time

ProsGreat company to work for. Strong team loyalty and willingness to move the company forward.
Founder fully involved and available. Flat organization with freedom, flexibility, and limited micro management.
Great culture and business foundation. Goals of the organization clearly laid out and working towards.
Company interested in team focusing on what they excel at and enjoy.

ConsSmall (but growing) company with limited resources. Constantly looking for the cheapest way to get something done, instead of the right way.
Strong personalities on team. Must be aggressive in personality to get heard.
A lot is expected of you. Small team and a big company.

Advice to Senior ManagementProvide fair compensation to team. Give ongoing feedback, and regular reviews and raises. Have actual HR person to deal with issues.

Growing Company

General Manager (Current Employee)

I have been working at Zoup!

ProsThis is a growing compnay, so there is a lot of room for advancement.

ConsMany of the businesses are franchises, so unless that owner opens a new store, it is easy to hit your salary cap.
