    I worked at Zumiez full-time

    Pros

Great coworkers, enjoyed the merchandise, mostly good clientele, adaptable schedule, decent location and had ample opportunity to visit various other surrounding stores at my leisure to summarize: It was alright.

    Cons

Did not like the management or business model. There was rare to no upward mobility, and upper management shows little respect to workers. The hour to pay ratio was unfavorably unreasonable. They were inconsistent in what rules they enforced and selective and favorable to employees based on gender.

    Advice to Management

Respect goes both ways and is fundamental in running a good operation. The favoritism is blatant and unprofessional, not to mention person bias is rampant.

    Pros

You have an opportunity to meet and impact growing adults in customers and employees and meet some of your best friends and future loved ones.

    Cons

It is retail, it pays like retail no matter your position unless you're in a regional and up position. It's long hours and a lot of travel. Biggest con is loving a job and working harder than most managers in other industries but not getting paid for it.

    Advice to Management

Figure out what you really want and what juice is really worth the squeeze and draw the line

    I worked at Zumiez part-time

    Pros

The people you work with were always very friendly. You received your own in-store discount. Always had friendly customers. You were always given a chance to move up if you wanted to within the company.

    Cons

You were not given a sufficient amount of hours unless holiday season came around. Days can be really slow and drag on. Your commission percentage was extremely low.

    Advice to Management

Management always did a good job in my eyes. There were never really any downfalls because everyone would constantly have a good and open relationship with management and just your coworkers in general. If anything it'd to hire less people and give more hours.

    Pros

Fun / fast paced / room for growth You get to work in a fun fast paced environment. If your into action sports you will feel like your at home.

    Cons

low pay / over worked for amount of pay / very unorganized. You get payed peanuts for the amount of work and responsibilities. Because of the low pay .. you have to end up hiring a young kids with no expericnce.

    Advice to Management

You always hear upper management talking about being clear and transparent. But you always feel like your in the dark as a store manager.
