Coolest startup, it is exciting, busy but smart/nice people to work.

    Engineering Squad Lead (Current Employee)
    Redwood City, CA

ProsPeople really pull together to get important priority work done. I love the culture since it is simultaneously fun and exhilarating.
Everyone wants the company to be successful and willingly listens to great ideas.

ConsYou need to figure out how to keep focus and move forward especially when it gets chaotic.

Advice to Senior ManagementPlease continue with keeping the "cool factor"! I love being "cool".

    So far so good...

    Commercial Account Executive (Current Employee)
    Redwood City, CA

ProsHigh growth and disruptive technology portfolio. Z-Business is an exceptional product if you are a company looking to or already have a subscription driven model.

ConsCompany lacks culture, however, keen to build one.

Advice to Senior ManagementThink outside of the box and make tough or disruptive decisions, who cares about the fall out if it benefits the company!

Definitely one of the worst working experiences in my career

    Anonymous Employee (Former Employee)
    Redwood City, CA

    ProsCan't think of any really.

    Conswhere do I start:
    1. arrogant execs
    2. lack of process or planning
    3. no work/life balance
    4. there are some smart people, but there are also quite a few that are not
    5. terrible company culture.

Advice to Senior Managementplease hire management that actually cares about people, and does things the right way.

    Very disappointing and stressful environment

    QA Engineer (Former Employee)
    Redwood City, CA

    ProsNothing positive about this place.

ConsThere is not enough documentation, there are some employees who are working there since many years who are very possessive about the modules and don't want to pass information to new employees. There are lots management issues. Managers blame their employees instead of addressing the issues. There is NO work family balance. You have to attend meetings in the evening as soon as you get home. You have to work late nights daily and there is no appreciation for it.

Advice to Senior Management1) Appreciate the hard work of employees
    2) Don't humiliate and put employees down in front of others, it creates a stressful environment. The employees have to be treated with respect, such behavior will only keep the turnover rate high.

    Great Company

    Business Representivie (Current Employee)
    Redwood City, CA

ProsGreat opportunities to be exposed to great companies and trends in technology.
    Very cool people

ConsLots of information is hidden inside peoples heads, it's hard to learn about everything without going out and asking.
Company is growing fast, so the culture hasn't cemented, everyone seems to be siloed and doing their own thing.

Fantastic team with a competitive yet friendly environment

    Sales Development Representative (Current Employee)
    Redwood City, CA

ProsFast growing company with an industry leading product. The SDR team is tight knit and a great group.

ConsIt's a late-stage start up company so training for new hires is a recent development but not what you would find at an enterprise company...this could be a pro or con depending on who you are.

    Stressful place to work

    Director (Current Employee)
    Redwood City, CA

ProsThe company operates in a promising space, though growth has stagnated recently. Enterprise software is hot again, and the marketing department is simply outstanding, resulting in outsized buzz for a company of its size and revenues.

ConsGrowth opportunities are limited because the company is hiring only to retain headcount in the face of employee churn, as there was a spate of recent exits of promising talent due to a variety of reasons. There is no culture of mentorship - it's the wild west, where you sink or swim, and not much besides mass-email kudos to reward going the extra mile.

Advice to Senior ManagementTake a good, hard look at yourselves, and ask why it is that you are unable to retain smart, well-educated and qualified individuals for more than a year. You need a culture of mentorship and camaraderie, not one of high stress and pressure with a thin veneer of appreciation.

    Out of Touch Management

    Product Team Member (Former Employee)
    Redwood City, CA

Pros-- Brilliant (but not exactly defensible) subscription-billing vendor business model
    -- Exciting, fast paced
    -- Good comp

Cons-- Beta software regularly shipped to production
-- High turnover, lack of career path focus
-- Core values defined from the bottom-up but then mysteriously abandoned
-- Some senior management has out-stayed their usefulness

Advice to Senior ManagementRead the writing on the wall from the publicly known brown-outs from early 2012 -- you need to shore up your existing product big time or give up. Also, please ask yourself: why are so many caucasian people leaving your Product Team?

Great company but the management is Questionable.

    Solution Architect (Current Employee)
    Redwood City, CA

    ProsSubscription billing is the future.
    Great Theme.

    ConsVery High Turnover.
    Execution is very poor.
Management especially Professional Services and Sales are very arrogant; there is too much tension in the company and it lacks a positive atmosphere.
Expectation is 24/7 work; no work-life balance.

Advice to Senior ManagementStop micro managing.
People do have their personal life.
Need to stop that high Turnover rate.
