    Pros

the atmosphere was fun there, the product lines were nice, the free product every quarter was great!

    Cons

when the new upper management that came in COMPLETELY overlooked the competent team they had and could have co promoted us, they created a new position that wasn't previously there so they could save on money for a store manager position.

    Advice to Management

stop discouraging your day to day people, they bust their butts for you treat them right!

    Pros

Very flexible with hours. Free shoes 3 times a year. There are good bonuses yearly if store meets budget or exceeds.

    Cons

Raises aren't very good. Hard to move up the ladder if management isn't proactive. Some managers don't work well with associates.

    Advice to Management

Be more friendly with associates and focus on being a team. Allow associates the option to do training if they are willing and proactive enough to ask!

    Pros

Company with a lot of great history

    Cons

managers don't know standards and procedures. Take on more than they can chew and neglect their store. Favoritism in the company. They tell you your special and that's why you were hired when really they'll hire anyone they seem to like. Unorganized in everything and all around terrible.

    Advice to Management

Train your managers and don't just hire them because they make you laugh.

    Pros

Exposure to end to end, not a cog in the machine, your ideas matter regardless of your level, you get ownership over your work, travel, international exposure, better benefits than any US based company i've ever seen, amazing passionate people, less conservative politics - ideas matter first, cool fun product, active lifestyle, work life balance, growth opportunities, fun environment, laid back office attire, huge windows and lots of space when you work (versus being crammed in a line or distracting open floor plans, they care about growing you, and they have best culture and values - I often wish i never left.

    Cons

less pay that competition, pressure to perform higher than the competitions, less resources and impact if not at HQ, singular mindset / tunnel vision for career movement

    Advice to Management

let people work end to end to gain exposure, pay a little better, and keep high tension disagreements away from the executors to maintain better moral
