I have been working at adidas Group full-time (more than 10 years)

    Pros

Great place to work. No 2 days are the same. At times very fast-paced which I enjoyed. In Canton, MA, USA, the work environment is second to none with so many amenities including Barber Shop, on campus workout facilities, on campus child care and so much more

    Cons

There is definitely a culture clash between US and Germany. Each group at times has difficulty understanding the needs and culture differences between the 2.

Also the company is undergoing a phase where expense has been targeted to reduce ASAP. Dwindling headcount is having a toll on some really great teams all throughout the business.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Be careful that you don't keep cutting HC. You're already at the bone and your employees are feeling the strain of trying to a lot more with a lot less in the way of bodies, resources and overall support.

I have been working at adidas Group full-time (more than 5 years)

    Pros

The brand is very strong in soccer and there is so much potential to grow in the U.S. Lots of great people work at adidas and I have made many friends who I really enjoy working with.

    Cons

Limited resources- expectations are that account managers wear a lot of different hats.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Invest in more resources so people aren't spread so thin. A planner would be very useful for key accounts- accounts would benefit and the brand would in turn see positive results.

I have been working at adidas Group part-time (more than 3 years)

    Pros

30 percent discount, great people, awesome managers, flexible with schedule, selling bonus if store beats yearly budget

    Cons

some employees slack off, crappy raises, sent home early if slow, used to get quarterly bonus which got turned into yearly

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

need to bump up people already in company instead of people outside the company who dont know the brand, hire people who wanna work and dont always request off

    Typical Corporate Crap

    Current Employee - Anonymous Employee
    Current Employee - Anonymous Employee

I have been working at adidas Group full-time (more than 5 years)

    Pros

Free stuff, good discounts, that is really about it, there isn't much else to say.

    Cons

All stores get punished based on other stores not doing their job, management at many locations is very weak, always finding a way to screw over their hard working employees. No holiday pay for pt nor holiday pay for working on a holiday.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Take a deeper look into your managers, they put on a complete different act when you are there vs. when you aren't in terms of how they treat employees
