Former Employee – worked at caisses Desjardins full-time for less than a year
Pros – Desjardins offer great packages, but insurances aren't the best you can find...
You'll have stability and a 35hrs working week...
Cons – Too much management
You may end up doing everything but what they lured you in interview (beware of the job description)
Advice to Senior Management – Let your employee be free!

Former Employee – worked at caisses Desjardins full-time for less than a year
Pros – Cool place if you don't really want to spend most of your time working. Salaries are quite standard, but there only little pressure on results. You can find a Caisse Desjardins very near to your home, making it an easy choice again for work-life balance.
Cons – If you're a go-getter, you'll either get a higher position or leave. It's mostly by moving from one branch to another that you get higher positions, unless you're in a big branch (100+ employees). Don't expect speaking english unless you're in a very specific area.
Advice to Senior Management – Numbers are only part of Desjardins strength, put more focus on the client's satisfaction in evaluating employees.

Current Employee – been working at caisses Desjardins as a contractor for more than 10 years
Pros – Benefits
Strong culture
Nice workplace
Hard to find more Pros
Cons – Inconsistent CEO, asking for many things that don't go with each other (reducing staff force while giving better service ??, budget cuts and wanting more sales coming in ?)
CEO is like weather, highly unpredictible.... I guess it depends on which side of the bed she stepped out.
Below average pay
Advice to Senior Management – Hire another CEO with wider vision and more consistency. Please don't hire anymore former directors who have been laid off for incompetency.
No, I would not recommend this company to a friend – I'm not optimistic about the outlook for this company

Current Employee – been working at caisses Desjardins as a contractor for more than a year
Pros – Good work environment, interesting projects. Depending on the department, you can still have a great experience. The 35 hour week is a rarity in the field and may contribute to be able to spend more time at home. Also, since everything is done in French, this is a good environment for French speaking professionals.
Cons – Somewhat behind on technology. Agile development transition is in progress, but is not done well enough to allow for productivity. Following best practices does not seem to be a priority. Some projects are poorly done, which is a shame really.

Current Employee – been working at caisses Desjardins full-time for more than 3 years
Pros – Slow workload,
Many breaks,
Closed office even for entry level jobs, besides tellers.
Very good infrastructure,
Can have many sick days, your union helps in that matter.
Very low sales targets.
No work at weekends
Cons – Boring work environment.
Colleagues overpopulated by french Canadians. They have a different mentality, hence its hard to adapt.
Repetitive tasks.
No challenging work.
Low sales targets.
Have people at positions that should not exist. 2-3 people doing one person job. lol.
Very slow at advancing to higher positions. Application time can take as long as 5 months and counting.
When applying ask for bilingual candidates, but after those new bilingual employees come to see you and ask if you can help translating in english with the client the have as they don't understand what they are saying.... Or another one. Please please can you call this client, he speaks english!!!
Like Wow.

Current Employee – been working at caisses Desjardins
Pros – Friendly environment, 35h/ week for full time and overtime paid . Bonus based on personal and company result, pension plan, full medical insurance.
Cons – Lack of structure within the company and processes not always very well defined. Too many structural change in short times .
Advice to Senior Management – take more feedback from senior resources, get more synergies between teams and listen better customers, both external and internal. And the more important, get a true technology strategic plan...
