    Pros

Hard to think of words to put here. Some of the data collection is pretty interesting, comScore is a leader in the space. The town center is reston is a really nice place to work, tons of good restaurants and parking.

If you want to work somewhere and simply go home at the end of the day without caring about making a difference and becoming friends with your teammates, and keeping to yourself, this can be a good place for you.

    Cons

Super high turnover, no clear path to advancement in the client service role. You go from Analyst to Senior Analyst and then most people leave the company (sometimes earlier). The next logical role would be Sales Director but all of those people are hired externally.

Not much sense of community at all. Ex- people don't say hello when they see each other in the hallways (its not particularly huge office).

Sketchy practices with the data. I have both experienced and heard many horror stories that are pretty poor ethics. For example, many companies take our reported data as an industry standard and report it to many other people. Often this data is knowingly falsified simply because someone "feels like it" or it will "tell a better story" when our data sets are inaccurate. Any mistakes in the data require fabrication and misleading in order to tell a story to the client and attempt to save face when the truth behind the story is usually a mistake or bad set of data, although that will never be admitted.

If you want to feel good about what you do and perform honest work this is not the place for you.

    Advice to Management

How about adding a real mission? "being the leader in digital media analytics" and "making audiences and advertising more valuable" is a joke. Those things do not resonate at all with the employees. There is no sense of shared mission or "here is what we are trying to achieve at this company". How about showing your face from time to time, letting us know you exist?

    Pros

comScore offers employees the opportunity to think creatively and pursue those creative ideas. There are a lot of bright and talented people who work for the company, although there are also many who don't appreciate all that comScore has to offer. Compensation is competitive with a variety of other benefits to employees (flexible schedules, FTO, snacks, drinks, social events, bonuses, ability to work remotely).

    Cons

Work-life balance can be a challenge, but is improving. Work hours vary by department.

    Pros

Great place to work, helpful staff and management is very supportive of employee development and there are no unnecessary barriers for driven individuals who want to succeed

    Cons

Not a con but the environment is ever changing within the industry and hence for those not comfortable in a fast paced ever evolving environment things might seem overwhelming

    Pros

Generally fun people (depends on the team), free pantry snacks and drink fridge (if that's what you truly value about a work environment), nice and updated office equipement

    Cons

Long hours, unfair promotion schedules, unbalanced work loads between teams & work-life balance is terrible

    Advice to Management

Invest in ALL your good employees, rather a few. Rock-star employees who may appear amazing could really be a cancer in disguise, pushing a lot of great talent out.

    Pros

    Great work atmosphere, Good reputation

    Cons

Low pay, high Churn since they wont match industry salaries, new CEO not as good as the old one. A few brilliant people produce the solutions that are keeping the company running, senior executives are just riding the wave.

    Advice to Management

Match salaries and try to keep your people. Stock is doing well and would do better with lower churn. Invest in growing the business in other areas - diversify, otherwise the day some other company comes up with better solutions or government puts stricter privacy regulations, we are done.
