    Pros

    Great working environment, had some wonderful brands to work with. A lot of opportunities to shine and grow. A lot of time off, but a lot of work (sometimes even weekends). Really smart people in the company.

    Cons

    The company grows and shrinks at least twice a year, you will feel always that in any moment you will be next. All the brains are gone (or let go). You will find things done by someone couple months ago and no one will know who is that person, so good luck if you need to ask something to that person.

    All the time it comes cleaning day (it will not be one or two employees let go it will be around 5 or more, if not entire departments) you will hear the speech saying this is the last cleaning process the company now is lean and from here to the sky, to realize that feeling that the company keeps going deeper and deeper.

    Upper management has no real direction (well the only direction is get their fat check every month and have the life of Rock Stars), you will be running in circle sometimes and feeling drained at the end of the day with no accomplishment, you will get orders by so many people and most of them contradictory.

    The company directions change like the weather, one day a service company next day will be a software company and maybe next week a consulting company a supermarket for anything related with fashion or a place to sell Tacos, you will have no idea, upper management has no idea, no one knows.

    Is a great place to learn how to survive in the business jungle.

    Advice to Management

    Your Fat check will stop to come if you don't get your game together. Don't cheat your way, you are only cheating your way out.

    Pros

    New CEO is really listening to employees
    Their are a number of strong new people coming into the business
    We are moving from pure creative to a creative agency that can execute as well as ideate
    We have won some exciting new account

    Cons

    Still some old habits that need changing but I can see that happening

    Pros

    20 Vacation Days
    Desperately trying to improve internal culture

    Cons

    You end up with nothing to show for your 60+ hour work weeks because upper management wastes too much time focusing on anything but the needs of the prospect or contracted client. They overcharge for services that can't be executed with the current internal structure.

    Mid level talent works hard and is eager to learn, but resources are very limited & the people who have the skills to teach don't have time to pass along their knowledge.

    You will end up exhausted with angry clients.

    Advice to Management

    Stop wasting time. Stop putting hundreds of hours into massive pitches to prospects who clearly don't have the cash available. Focus on building relationships and work reasonably to build the business. Focus on employee retention.

    The people. You felt like you were going to work with your friends.

    Pros

    Great teammates
    Strong commitment to revamping top to bottom process
    20 PTO days
    Great office location
    I'm seriously stretching to find any pros, to be completely honest.

    Cons

    There has been some good moves to change the mentality and process of the agency, however I feel as though it is too little too late. I've seen too many wrong people being able to perpetuate their negative impact from a junior to management level without any repercussion. The changing process is being slowed down by bureaucracy and passive aggressive p*ssing contests.

    Very frustrated.

    Advice to Management

    Grow your talent. Don't lay off employees that were proactive about growing office culture and knowledge on their downtime.

    Pros

    Depending on which department you're in, and how you deal with conflict and politics, it's possible to carve out a productive place for yourself.

    Cons

    At the moment the company has the volatility of an early-stage startup, with the disadvantage that most of the key players don't have experience succeeding in the crowded e-commerce marketplace the company now finds itself in. The company rode the coattails of its early clients' successes, but rewarded its executives at the expense of building a better company, leading to last year's management crisis and a round of layoffs since.

    Advice to Management

    The ship, having hit the iceberg and survived, is sinking slowly. Now is the time for the big decisions that could save the ship.

    Pros

    Super strong internal culture. I love the people I work with. Everyone enjoys being a part of the same team, and that carries through when working on more challenging projects. There is also so much opportunity to learn. There are very few people that come to Morpheus that don't learn exponentially more than places they come from, or go to in the future. There's honestly no better place to go to become a well rounded, comprehensive digital marketer. For those people looking to learn, be challenged daily (in more positive ways than negative), and to become an expert, this is an ideal place. Also - salaries are competitive and the benefits program is substantial (particularly great health benefits, flexible and great vacation policy, dog friendly). Morpheus is truly a place that offers opportunities to those who want to take them.

    Cons

    Agency is in a process of regrowth. A lot of internal changes have happened over the last year, and there has been a lot of shifting with Senior level talent.

    Pros

    Only pro is the location on Houston Street.

    Cons

    Work-life balance is non-existent. This company is truly rudderless and constantly in crisis mode. "Executive Management" consists of an absentee "CEO" who resides in London and apparently "runs" other companies there as well, and all of the rest of C-Level or senior executive leadership are part-time consultants. No one that runs this Company is even an employee, as all of the original founders and senior execs have departed. Company is horribly underfunded and has had many rounds of layoffs in the last few years. When you add that morale is terrible as well -- they can't ever attract or retain top talent. There is also tremendous infighting and backstabbing - so an uncomfortable place to work.

    Advice to Management

    Get out of the way and let people who know what they are doing run the ship. Learn how to properly communicate with staff and act like real leaders. Properly fund the company so that you can actually pay your creditors on time.
