I have been working at creativeLIVE full-time

    Pros

creativeLIVE has an excellent team of talented people in all departments, who are passionate about the product and culture. It is easy to feel at home and enjoy the offices.

    Cons

Management has a very hard time letting responsibilities go and allowing those underneath them grow. Certain people are hugely overworked and others are bored. The balance and empowerment is missing.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Trust your people. Talent hires talent.

    I worked at creativeLIVE

    Pros

    Great Mission
Quality Product, with amazing, well known instructors
Centrally located in Seattle and SF
Fantastic learning opportunity with all of the workshops

    Cons

Expect to deal with some level of elitism.
If you are looking for growth, pay attention to the workshops. Don't look for it within management.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Change is inevitable as companies grow, but some things that made it special are being lost.

    Pros

It is great being at a company that has the drive to do more. I love how exciting it is to come to work everyday.

    Cons

You have to wear many hats here, as it is growing fast. But that isn't really a con.

    Pros

The culture, people, family, benefits, pay, respect, appreciation, and giving the world an opportunity to learn for free, make me feel good about the hard work I put in here. I love everyone around me. I feel like everyone is instant family.

    Cons

We are blazing our own trail, so every new addition is a surprise. We are growing so rapidly, you never know what's coming next.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Keep it coming. Everyday is a blast.

I have been working at creativeLIVE full-time (less than an year)

    Pros

I like the social environment at creativeLIVE. We work hard and play hard. Though things are kept professional and managed well, everyone has plenty of fun. Good location and offices. I feel appreciated constantly and am genuinely thanked by my co-workers and the guests we have all the time.

    Cons

A little bit of instability regarding policies and roles, because everything is growing/ changing constantly.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Keep doing what you're doing but maybe be a bit more conservative with spending. I want this place to last!

I have been working at creativeLIVE full-time

    Pros

The people here are amazing - undoubtedly the best group of people I've every worked with. Everyone is fantastic at their job, and we are able to pull off some huge events with a lot of finesse because everyone is working together to make the best product possible without letting ego get in the way.

    Cons

It's a start-up, which isn't for everyone. To me that means everyone works long hours to ensure the success of the company, and direction can change often. If you're looking for something that is a 9-5 job that you can check at the door on your way out, this isn't the place for you.

I have been working at creativeLIVE full-time (less than an year)

    Pros

The best part about creativeLIVE is the people: employees and customers. Everyone's trying to do something great, which is to fundamentally change people's lives for the better by bringing them free, compelling education. What could be better than that?

The people who work here are all sincere, focused and hard-working. They're fun, but also know when to get down to business, which I appreciate. People here are grown-ups. There's little political BS and no drama.

    Cons

Difficult to stay coordinated between 2 offices (Seattle and SF), shifting priorities (due to being a startup; I take that for granted with any startup)

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Stay focused on delivering awesome value to our customers, and all success will follow

I have been working at creativeLIVE full-time (more than an year)

    Pros

The teams is made up of an incredibly talented dynamic, consisting of engineers, product, design, studio production, marketing, content and more. Everyone is extraordinarily friendly and really good at their jobs. It's a great collaborative and team-based environment. The diversity of courses and innovation that is taking place makes it an awesome place to come to work every day.

Also, the offices (TWO) are incredibly beautiful.

    Cons

Two offices takes twice the effort for some of the collaboration and getting to know everyone.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    keep fostering the passion
