I worked at cyberCSI full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

-It is marginally better than being un-employed -You can gain experience in a corporate environment which can potentially be used to move on to a real job/career. -If you took this job for any other reason then the two stated above you are doing it wrong!

    Cons

-Few if any advancement opportunities (realistically only on the tech side and even then not so much..) -Raises are few and far between (you most likely will never get one) -Layoff's are generally pay based (who makes the most goes first.. or if you are "lucky" they will just offer to let you keeping on doing the same job for less money). -Health benefits are laughably bad if you are not healthy, young and single.

    Advice to Management

-Be more honest and open with your employee's.

    Pros

A cut above being on Welfare.

    Cons

The CEO makes a lot of promises that are never kept. The pay is low for all positions with very few increases. They have one main Client that is talking about cutting their contract which means the jobs would be gone. This company hires and lays off all the time. They do not have good benefits at all.

    Advice to Management

Not much to say the CEO sucks.

    Pros

None....other than their only client is Genentech, but don't be fooled maybe 5 people in 10 years have gone full time Genentech from CyberCSI...MAYBE

    Cons

THERE ARE ZERO CAREER OPPORTUNITIES HERE. Trust me they will tell you there are. They will lure you in with idea that you have a shot in becoming FTE for Genentech and it ain't gonna happen. The reality is a salary so low you cannot afford benefits for anyone other than yourself, and $1.00 an hour raises if you get a raise at all. No bonus programs, and very little room to grow because they have one cliuent Genentech which the rumor is that client is looking to dump their contract.

    Advice to Management

What would be the point. The CEO is going to look out for himslf financially as he has always done and avoid doing anything real for his people.

  5. cyberCSI, a Growing IT Services Company that Cares About What They Do

    Pros

The best reason to work at cyberCSI is because the employees actually care about providing great service to their clients, and therefore, they actually provide it! It's great potential for growth as a relatively small IT services company is another good reason. Every employee has the opportunity to provide input into the development of the business, which instills a great sense of pride in the work. Once a few more large contracts are won, this company has a great chance of establishing itself as one of the top tier IT services companies in the west.

    Cons

As a managed services company, it's sometimes difficult to see the employees of the host company get all the special perks and stay inspired by their mission.

    Advice to Management

Sometimes, communication downward from Senior Management could be more often and open. Keeping everyone focused on their own jobs while being informed by the "Big Picture" will help drive unified growth while maintaining the high level of service the company is known for. With this in mind, developing a sense of culture around true customer empathy (caring about the work) is a good idea.
