    Pros

Good as a starting-out job if you're fresh out of college. Learn the basis of retail and the junior's merchandise.

    Cons

Upper management were irresponsible and very disrespectful to their employees. There were numerous meeting that lasted hours at a time without producing any substantial value.

    Advice to Management

    Pros

Nice and friendly workers at each store (I transferred because of personal location changes). Great awards and you are continusly reminded of your great efforts and contributions to the store. Flexibility is great and you also get a sense of comfort with your manager.

    Cons

Like any retail job there are mandatory late nights, and customers can be very high maintence in the store, but it does not take away from the dy to day activity of selling.

    Pros

Really relaxed environment Nice supervisors Fair compensation great hours

    Cons

Worked for them during their final days. Things were unusually slow, which all made sense when they suddenly shut down. I worked near the merchandising/marketing crew, which was constantly gossiping and off-task. I do wonder if they would have survived if their teams weren't so unmotivated

    Advice to Management

Keep your merchandisers and marketers motivated

    Pros

I enjoyed my immediate co-workers and the dELiA*s environment, fun place to work, good (40%) employee discount. Easy to move up if you're a dedicated worker.

    Cons

About a little after a year into my employment, district management changed and the job was no longer as enjoyable.

    Advice to Management

Conversion, transaction amounts, and amounts per sale can be very stressful. Don't pull your hair out, show employees how to make friends with customers while helping them.
