A lot of new hard problems to solve, a lot of new techonology to learn. And you can move to different groups.

Creativity is key to the success of a business. Supporting unconventional thinking would be a great way motivate employee's creativity.

Upper management makes horrible decisions without informing anyone. Supervisors don't know what they are doing half the time and try to get by without actually knowing. Not a good work life balance. They like to fire people without good reasons. Promotions are given to people based on who you know not what you know or how well you have done

Lots of politics and fighting between different groups and from the same group. Management can't make the right call, and let the employee fight against each other. Decisions are made on maximize personal interest, not eBay interest.

Need to know who is telling the truth, who is lying.

Too many organizational changes that are disruptive with very poor execution.
Quality from DEV or PM's are not consistent across organization
Advice to Senior Management
Get input from all levels of the organization before making a huge organizational change. Though the concept may be great, you may be sacrificing efficiency and some great talent in the process with very little reward.
Listen to employees and get feedback.
