I worked at eBay Enterprise full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Excellent first full-time job. Okay benefits Easy work Good time off policies Fun environment, with typically enjoyable coworkers Decent compensation

    Cons

Terrible lower level management Poor pay No recognition for performance Unable to get time off approved Company is unwilling to make reasonable accommodation.

    Advice to Management

Keep a closer eye on your lower management. Several of them act unfairly towards your tier 1 employees, and refuse them their time off for their own gain, despite the vacation time being allowed by company policy, even when business needs do NOT require the employee to be present.

I worked at eBay Enterprise full-time

    Pros

I learned a lot at EE, met a lot of really smart people, and gained a lot of valuable experience.

    Cons

There are a lot of changes happening at eBay Enterprise right now. Compensation is lower than just about every major tech company out there, plus there are no bonuses, and most people don't get RSU's. There is a mass exodus from EE currently under just about every department, including people on the senior leadership team. There is no vision for the future of the company, which is dictated by senior management, who are kind people but entirely unequipped to lead the company. This company has serious headwinds in front of it.

    Advice to Management

Find some serious direction. We had the CMP for a while, but what is our direction now?

    Cons

The company and it's lack of direction. Magento? VendorNet? GSI?

    Pros

Ample vacation time. Climate controlled facility. Advancement opportunities for some employees. Ability to move to different departments. Seasonal incentives like gift certificates and free merchandise.

    Cons

Absolutely horrible managers that are incompetent, often not qualified and could care less about their employees. Powerless supervisors and team leaders who frequently have their jobs threatened when they try to take a stand for their team members. Unpredictable work hours.

    Advice to Management

Stop being so callus and selfish. You often don't know what you are doinh. So trust your supervisors, team leaders and staff. Work with then instead of against them. Things will be more productive and flow better without you being so micromanaging.

    Pros

Health care benefits, pick your hours, no real supervision (can fool around all day)

    Cons

Poor leadership, management, direction and backbone.

    Advice to Management

Don't go through the motions, believe in it and follow through. If you can't do it, step aside.

I have been working at eBay Enterprise full-time

    Pros

My co-workers and supervisor are great. Co-workers generally pull togeather as a team. Shift supervisor is professional, yet personable. He cares about his employees as much as he does his "numbers". He understands the concept of human capital. Benefits are fantastic.

    Cons

The pay is ridiculously low for how hard we work, and is below nearly all the competitors. Different departments work as well together as the jews and palastonians. Computer equipment breaks down often. Upper management is aloof and their expectations are unrealistic due to inadequate staffing, supplies and constant change of directions. Definitely operates as a good ole boys club.

    Advice to Management

Get over yourself. You are not the only one with a college degree. Have some empathy for the workers on the front lines. Listen and have faith in the shift supervisors, they know what they are doing. You are losing good people because of inadequate pay.

I worked at eBay Enterprise full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

The employees are solid and my boss was very supportive. The product was good, but behind the times. The services that were provided to the clients were top notch.

    Cons

The platform the SAAS sat on was incredibly old and spotty. It was down all the time and clients couldn't get their work done. The senior management couldn't pull the trigger on a direction to move forward and due to the inability to make a decision, many clients left and the company is not in the best place.

    Advice to Management

Invest in the platform. Trust your employees to make the right decisions. Don't leave your client facing employees without back up by not making sure there are enough resources.

I have been working at eBay Enterprise full-time

    Pros

Some of the people were great to work with. Salary is pretty good. New CEO appears to be trying to keep company going in right direction.

    Cons

No chance for advancement due to good ole boy network in place in our dept.. Current management structure lies and will throw you under the bus in a heartbeat.

    Advice to Management

Stop forcing the good people out because of the old mentality.

I worked at eBay Enterprise full-time (More than 8 years)

    Pros

Stock grants are pretty generous now that they give them to everyone...except that eBay is selling Enterprise to a private equity firm.

    Cons

Turnstile of incompetent Sr Leadership since the eBay acquisition.

    Advice to Management

Fall on your swords and let those who know how to run the company, run the company.
