I worked at eBay Enterprise full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

The employees are solid and my boss was very supportive. The product was good, but behind the times. The services that were provided to the clients were top notch.

    Cons

The platform the SAAS sat on was incredibly old and spotty. It was down all the time and clients couldn't get their work done. The senior management couldn't pull the trigger on a direction to move forward and due to the inability to make a decision, many clients left and the company is not in the best place.

    Advice to Management

Invest in the platform. Trust your employees to make the right decisions. Don't leave your client facing employees without back up by not making sure there are enough resources.

    No opinion of CEO

I have been working at eBay Enterprise full-time

    Pros

Some of the people were great to work with. Salary is pretty good. New CEO appears to be trying to keep company going in right direction.

    Cons

No chance for advancement due to good ole boy network in place in our dept.. Current management structure lies and will throw you under the bus in a heartbeat.

    Advice to Management

Stop forcing the good people out because of the old mentality.

I worked at eBay Enterprise full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

The people you work with are the best part of the job. The pay and benefits are decent if you are just starting out.

    Cons

Peak season is horrible! You will miss thanksgiving, Christmas and New Years! Work 7 days a week for at least 10 hours a day for 3 weeks minimum.

    Advice to Management

    To many unrealistic goals!

I have been working at eBay Enterprise full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Get to work from home whenever you want. Clients are willing to listen to you since they think we're actually eBay Inc, not the case.

    Cons

Ebay Enterprise Marketing Solutions, primarily the display arm is destined for failure. It actually feels like they're phasing it out. There was a huge round of layoffs in January 2015 and since then employees have been leaving like wildfire. A hint that the powers that be will shut it down very soon is that they're not rehiring. What happens when a person leaves is there workload is delegated among other employees. There's no "culture" at all. The NYC office is boring and dry. The culture is so bad there wasn't even a Christmas party.. depressing isn't it? The products offering eBay first party data is useless. They haven't figured out how to leverage it in order to create performing display campaigns. Clients cancel left and right and no one even bats an eye. Completely zero accountability. The executive and leadership teams are a joke. They just spread the kool-aid throughout the company. Most of the time they're on vacation dialing in to conference calls and saying the display arm missed whichever quarterly/annual goal there was and we're doing GREAT!

    Advice to Management

Get serious people, you either know the company is sinking and your lavishing in whatever is left or you're delusional. You're exploiting the human resource and lying out of your teeth telling everyone to stay calm.

I worked at eBay Enterprise full-time (More than 8 years)

    Pros

Stock grants are pretty generous now that they give them to everyone...except that eBay is selling Enterprise to a private equity firm.

    Cons

Turnstile of incompetent Sr Leadership since the eBay acquisition.

    Advice to Management

Fall on your swords and let those who know how to run the company, run the company.

I worked at eBay Enterprise full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Large teams covering many disciplines adds to the opportunity to learn and expand. Manageable workload.

    Cons

Management APPEARS to care about the corporate culture and career growth, but attempts to engage employees come off as half-hearted and half-baked.

    Pros

The pay is good and I get to work from home and the company let me barrow a computer to work from home. The benefits are great and you get a lot of paid time off.

    Cons

There is rarely any opportunity for advancement. You will have the option to change positions but its mostly going to be for the same pay.

I have been working at eBay Enterprise full-time

    Pros

Good stable of customers who have still not left us.

    Cons

Losing largest customers like DSG, Toysrus, Ralph Lauren. Reselling IBM Sterling OMS and losing money. All good sales incentive plans are now gone, courtesy of the new VP of Sales, who came from Oracle. Since eBay has decided to divest itself of our group, our leadership, including the CEO has checked out.

    Advice to Management

    Move on.
