I have been working at eClinicalWorks part-time (more than 3 years)

    Pros

Benefits, vertical and lateral movement, opportunity to travel and meet new people, leader in the industry, care and consideration for employees and employee needs, fast moving and innovative, individual initiative encouraged.

    Cons

There aren't many. The fast pace can be tiring. The lack of a hard and fast policy for much of the work makes it a client-focused company, but makes it hard to keep track of employee expectations.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Communication. There needs to be a little more communication about employee expectations and the standards and policies really need to be written out and standardized.

I have been working at eClinicalWorks full-time (less than a year)

    Pros

great team to work with, very friendly and always ready to help. fun events going on from time to time

    Cons

Difficult to get hold of people from internal teams, very non-responsive. Workforce is not diverse at all, too many Indians, specially ones that think they are actually in India! Don't feel like I'm learning anything new and useful (and i am new to the company!)

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Make it mandatory to only communicate in English. Train employees back in India to communicate properly.

    Pros

Great company culture, especially around holiday times. Flexibility in moving around departments. Personable CEO. Great outlook for company. Many hard working, capable employees.

    Cons

Financial compensation is poor. Company loyalty is not rewarded. Favoritism for family members that may not be qualified. Difficult to move up within company or be given the appropriate recognition for accomplishments.

    Pros

Technologically proactive with the portal, eClinimobile, eClinical Messenger. Glass break for confidentiality, claim filters for manouvering.
    Great Gateway to Corporate USA.

    Cons

Not everyone is on the same page. Nubies make life difficult for the end user, especilally as they are instructed to "Know it all". Let me ask someone is not in the culture!

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Correct all that the software cannot do. Wait lists to help manage the doctors time by filling in no show appointments, cancelled appointment gaps etc.

I have been working at eClinicalWorks full-time

    Pros

If you are interested in working hard, have something to offer, can take responsibility and can finish what you start, you will love this place.

The company is in this for the long term.

Yes, lots of husband/wife employees. Many relatives and friends get hired. What is wrong with this - I think it creates a great culture.

Great CEO - a better one you will not find in any industry.

    Cons

If you are NOT interested in working hard, DON'T have anything to offer and/or DON'T want to take on the responsibility to deliver, you will NOT find this a good place to work.

Have read many of the reviews and it is true - you will work hard at eCW. You get plenty of time off, great benefits, and may have a low salary but this is more than made up with profit sharing (total compensation is very competitive, but only if the company is profitable - which it has been every year).

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Continue to move quickly. Remain private - it is a huge competitive advantage and lets you focus on the long term success of the company. Continue to stay as flat an organization as possible. Middle level management doesn't really add much value so only use where necessary.

I have been working at eClinicalWorks full-time (more than 3 years)

    Pros

Work environment is very friendly. Flat heirarchy allows for employees to connect and meet executive level staffs without a lot of effort. The company has been growing significantly in healthcare IT industry and is doing well for itself

    Cons

There are no proper processes in place. People are thrown into different projects without proper training. While the company does provide title, most of the employees are underpaid. Worklife balance is not so good. Too much work with less number of resources.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Should have work-life balance, underpaying employees will only lead them to move into other places.
