    I worked at eTelecare Global Solutions full-time (less than an year)

    Pros

    There were opportunities to make good commission here. It had a very laid back environment and most of the management was good at trying to make the teams sales goals.

    Cons

    If you are not an aggressive or assertive salesperson, you will likely not hit your commission goal. When I worked there, they were sending people home if you had made several calls but had not made a sale. For many of us who at least need our hourly paycheck, getting sent home half way into your day was unacceptable.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    Be more understanding that some people are not aggressive, but can still be a valuable asset and provide potential customers with a good experience. It's better to eventually accept that a customer may not be buying right this minute than to keep pushing and pushing to where that customer hangs up and never calls back again.

    Pros

    The company will work with students to accommodate class schedules. The company also has a great advancement program. This company is very family friendly, having barbecues including family and friends.

    Cons

    I had no problems at this job.

    incompetant management team
    overbearing "occurence policy" that leads to huge turnover
    rude constant taunting toward employess+"hostile work environment"

    The dream would be new mgmt as there are really good people, but you cannot change a culture
    based on lies.

    Pros

    For the most part a Team Lead is left to manage as they see fit, there are a few Shift Managers who do micro-manager the Team Leads but that is rare.

    Your team looks to you as the leader and not upper management.

    Cons

    Inconsistent Policies from site to site.
    Lack of annual compensation reviews. If you are satisfied in your position than you compensation will remain the same until you decide to either move up or move out.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    Some people have no interest in moving up in a position once they have found a position that suits them, yet without annual reviews for compensation increases we will be forced to move up or out. This should be changed.

    Pros

    No experience is needed, so if you are trying to get call center experience so you can get a job somewhere else that pays better, this is the place to go.

    Cons

    No job security whatsoever. I watched supervisors who had been here for over 5 years get fired for no reason. Plus, since they are a contractor, if they lose the contract, you lose your job.

    Also, QA is a huge part of your job, and the QA reps are inconsistent. There is scripting that will get you a 10 on a call where the cust could not have been happier with you. What kind of QA is that? This company does not want you to succeed. They just want butts in the chairs and they don't care about customers or agents.

    Invest more in your employees so that you would be more willing to teach them rather than fire them.

    Pros

    Payed well, considering the type of job it is. The ad for them says they have tuition reimbursement if you work something like 30 or more hours. It was an easy job, especially if you enjoy talking. The medical insurance was fine. In the event you needed more money, they always had overtime available.

    Cons

    Constant/repetitive work, angry customers, a few silly policies, and the shift scheduling sucked. Also, for the most part, it's a dead end job. The supervisors are hit or miss for quality. Most are awesome but there were a few rotten tomatoes. In the end, it's just your average call-center type job.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    Senior management seemed to sincerely try to make it a good place to work at, but ultimately the job was just being a phone jockey - which sucks.
