I have been working at emarsys full-time for more than a year

    Pros

If you're willing to put in the work you'll be rewarded and you'll progress- it's as simple as that. I've experienced this first hand, moving into more senior roles over the last few years. Despite growing a lot in the last few years, there is still a start-up culture. It's a good environment to work in, generally a lot of fun with Senior Management being easy to talk to. From my first day I was comfortable speaking with the MD, VP of Sales and Sales Director- there wasn't a barrier and even other staff members were open and helpful.

Emarsys is only suitable for people who want a career and if you look at the people who have stayed at Emarsys for more than 12 months, they have developed into more senior roles.

Finally good benefits, BUPA, fitness first membership, table tennis, pool and breakfast provided.

    Cons

Salary could be improved in all honesty, especially for some of the more junior roles. In my experience, I started on a low salary but had a good bonus structure. The motto was clear from day 1: work hard and you'll get more. Within a year my salary was increased but I had worked hard for that so it felt good. More days holiday would be good as well but this has increased

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Keep the culture as it is whereby you get rewarded for the work you do. An increase in salary for junior roles would be good as well.

I have been working at emarsys full-time for more than a year

    Pros

Emarsys has a great culture, it is enjoyable to work in a positive environment with innovative people that have a range of skills and backgrounds. The management team is supportive and hands on and are genuinely interested in you as a person as well as your career development. The work is challenging and diverse, everyday is different.

    Cons

Communication between the offices in the past has been poor, however it is definitely improving and transparency is encouraged by senior management. The employee benefits differ between the global offices and should be more aligned.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    Align office benefits

I worked at emarsys full-time for less than a year

    Pros

Very relaxed working environment with international colleagues. This company hires graduates and people looking to start out in their careers with little to no experience.

    Cons

There is a lack of transparency from senior management so expect to hear groundbreaking changes through the grapevine.
Career progression is not meritocratic and the bonus system in place has no consistency in regards to how it is paid out.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Bring pay in line with the industry average and provide the same level of employee benefits to the UK branch as are available in the other source markets.

I have been working at emarsys full-time for less than a year

    Pros

Young enviroment, good location. good breakfast

    Cons

Managers are ALL about politics, very little real knowledge at managerial level; only political games being played, no guidance or inspiration from managerial levels. Some people work hard and other just play the game, do nothing and go home with pockets full of cash.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Get real managers with knowledge not just political skills.

I have been working at emarsys full-time

    Pros

The people here are generally young and fun to work with, the country manager is doing a great job of leading the team, being a very hands-on guy and caring for the staff as individuals and not merely employees.

The work is challenging and engaging and you're bound to be exposed to a lot of different tasks. This means you need to work on things beyond your scope of duties (which is normal if they expect you to develop your career). They are clear with their KPIs and what they expect from you. You need to work hard to try to meet those goals.

    Cons

Salaries might not be the highest in the market and you do need to meet quite demanding KPIs to prove good performance. They are also quite clear that if you do not live up to their expectations, they will fire you or you'll feel enough pressure that you'll leave of your own accord

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

KPIs are good but need to be realistic and achievable, the volume of work can also be very overwhelming at times.
