Pros
etrials is a small company with many friendly people that work there. The clinical data management market is only going to grow over time so if etrials can execute they too will be able to grow. They have a wide customer base and decent repeat business rates. The old management team has been replaced with a new competent and friendly team that is determined to make the business work. If you like small businesses and enjoy seeing/helping the underdog win then this is the company for you. Their benefit packages and compensation rates appear to be in line with the rest of the industry.
Cons
The old management team almost destroyed the company with overly ambitious process re-engineering efforts that all failed. These dramatic changes also caused high turn over rates and a loss of core domain knowledge. etrials is a small player in a market that is dominated by several companies that are 10-20 times bigger than etrials. Unfortunately FDA regulations that hinder all the players in this market space also hurts one of etrials few advantages; size and time to execute. Many companies are acquiring or being acquired in this market space and etrials may be the next one to be acquired. Not a good job prospect if you come to this company with any sort of long term goals.
Advice to Senior Management
Keep up what you are doing and don't get tied up in regulatory issues.
Pros
great products, Great people and pride in their work
Cons
Lack of trust, truth and respect from the CEO. The CEO is the one who sets the tone and the pulse for the organization and this drum beat is not the right one.
He uses feer and intimidation and double crossing to keep everyone off balance and not focused on the market. He talks metrics but doesnt read or understand the numbers.
The company is viable and strong, but only under new leadership and some real direction.
Having a large EGO is ok, but the ceo needs to have an equal level of self confidence which doesnt exist here. Let's hope the board wakes up and takes action before they loose more money.
Advice to Senior Management
They won't listen to feedback, you can't help those who think they are right.
Pros
They have enough cash now for payday!!! woo hoo... no more half pay
Cons
CEO knows nothing about running a company, leading people or anything clinical at all... The customers don't like him, the sales team plays games to keep him away from their clients so he doesn't embarrass them, he talks about everyone behind there back after he smiles at them person and he's lying to our board about what is going on.
His pale vampire of an HR sidekick is there to help hide the huge turnover and morale that is the lowest in over 10 years here.
Everyone wants out, even the people who make chippie think they are on his side...
Please find me a new Job!!! Even Medidata would be better!!
Advice to Senior Management
Please pack your bags and go get some people who understand and know our business, cause you do not.
