I worked at golden spoon part-time (more than 3 years)

    Pros

Friendly co-workers, free yogurt, good tips. Made many connections interacting with customers.

    Cons

Lack of communication between management and franchise owner. Lack of trust from management with employees. Great product, but not keeping staying competitive in meeting customer desires. Concerned about the future outlook of this company.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Focus on promoting a work atmosphere that encourages communication. Focus on how changes in the industry and competition are changing consumer demands.

I worked at golden spoon part-time

    Pros

Free yogurt and tips! Most of the people are nice to work with and the shifts are short usually.

    Cons

Management takes it a little too seriously for just a part time job. Employees are graded harshly on their work every morning, from how well the floors are cleaned to how high or low the toppings are re filled... Also they don't pay very well, almost everyone makes minimum although they are doing a lot of work. It was high stress with a lot of punishment and very little reward.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Lighten up or pay them more!

    I worked at golden spoon

    Pros

Golden Spoon is a good first job for high school kids. Shifts are short and relatively easy to get covered.

    Cons

Minimum wage job that is beyond boring, but hey! It's food service. Quality of job depends on owner of branch.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    Get involved.

  10.

If it wasn't for the customers... this would be an amazing job. With them it is still pretty cool.

    Pros

    Free Yogurt!!!
    Tips
It is a pretty good place to work depending on the owner and the manager. I had a pretty good experience.

    Cons

Customers who feel that they are entitled to everything.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

I worked there before all of the changes that came in 2012, so I am not sure if things have changed but I think they should listen to their customers. Also, they could use some classes on running a social media for a corporation.

    I worked at golden spoon

    Pros

I got to work with some of the nicest people. our little tip jar would get us about 7-14 a night which was a plus.

    Cons

The owner showed no respect to his employees. Did some shady business. Golden Spoon is a franchise, but be sure not to work at the one in fullerton or any location in orange.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Care for your staff. Don't be the owner's pet, try to balance the needs of the staff with the demands of the owner.
