    Pros

hybris is a dynamic, constantly changing place full of interesting opportunities and challenges. The extreme growth over the past years has shaped the company and made it more mature, and working on and with a very successful product is very rewarding.
Management is easily approachable and has open doors - and listens to concerns. People are treated with great respect, and there's a general positive, friendly atmosphere in the offices.
Most importantly, hybris employs great people and fosters social interactions, making it a very fun place to work.

    Cons

    - Middle management is not always as competent as desirable, due to rapid growth and hiring
    - Growth requires constant re-organisation, often leading to confusion and sometimes opaque decision making processes

    Pros

The people at this company are what makes it so great. It definitely has a family feel, and is a great environment to learn in. We have several company events and happy hours, free beer, and free catered lunch on Fridays! What could be better?

    Cons

A few growing pains, but the culture hasn't seemed to be negatively affected. Things may change now that SAP has purchased the company.

unorganized, not professional and overly challenged HR

Current Employee - Kam in Munich (Germany)

    Pros

good product, innovative technology, international market activity

    Cons

I wait to hear back from HR, very inexperienced HR person interviewing, just ticking boxes on their sheet, not understanding relations and market mechanisms. I have not been getting a result or answer till today.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

change your HR - they obviously to young to have the necessary experience to evaluate people and therefore just tick boxes on their sheets… maybe not the department to save money when growth and market share win is key to your company.

    Pros

Benefits were acceptable and at a first glance it looks like a promising company with young blood.

    Cons

No structure, no processes, only higher management is allowed to make even simple decisions.
Team leaders and department managers are incapable of managing their teams.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Hire better managers and trust more your employees

    Pros

mostly people are young, dynamic and friendly. Mostly hardworking and really agile both in processes. HR is superb. I got Macbook pro as a company laptop. One of the best companies to work around in munich area.

    Cons

Munich office is over occupied, no space and often looks like in a startup mode. U have to give 110% and travel quite often.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Make it more family friendly. change location of Munich office...it obvious some nostalgia surrounds not leaving this place but its time to grow and locate to some modern place.

Current Employee - Software Development in Montreal, QC (Canada)

    Pros

The company is fast growing in the commerce market and provide plenty of opportunities to employees. I had been able to work with amazingly great people. In our day-to-day work we use the latest programming technologies and processes. We are a full agile/scrum shop with lot of scrum teams. We use programming technology such as J2EE, Spring and REST based web services.

    Cons

As a large start-up :) i.e. a very fast growing company, IT had difficulty to support the business growth. However, this has improved over the last few months. Another issue were salary level and benefits, which are now improving and are at par with the job market place.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Focus on making your people happy.
