Pros
Some of the best minds worked creating solutions to complex SCM & SRM problems. It was best company with great culture and environment.
Cons
The top management should have developed the business rather just focus on selling the company. The board just made money by selling the company cheap.
Advice to Senior Management
Please do the honest thing when you have great people working under you and delivering products that make impact and benefit the business saving millions of dollars.

Advice to Senior Management

Pros

Cons
well its been bought by jda, so hopefully jda can fix what used to be flaws with i2 technologies in the past
Advice to Senior Management
nothing really, am sure jda did a study before buying i2 tech. so hopefully they bring good change and march forward
Pros
i2 offer a very competitive salary and benefits package. It has competitive products and you will be woking with great people
Cons
Company is not great anymore with lots of bigger competition
Experience at the company is not valued outside
Weak senior management
Advice to Senior Management
The management needs to invest in products and bring them to world standards again. I would highly recommend going down a growth path and not a maintenannce one.
Pros
* pioneer in supply chain, demand mgmt
* industry best consultants
* exceptionally smart colleagues
* work with large clients and complex problems
Cons
* not very organized and well managed
* not focused
* product innovation is sporadic
* no strong leadership team
Advice to Senior Management
company already sold to JDA
so this is not relevant anymore
better organization should help the company grow and win more customers
Pros
This was once an amazing place to work but the company fell on hard times and made poor decisions, never really recovering from the dot.com bust.
Cons
The primary downside of working for i2 is uncertainty for the future of the company and of whatever project you might be working on.
Advice to Senior Management
At this point I really wouldn't know where to start. I think the company no longer has a soul. The people managing the company at this time probably look at i2 more as a financial entity then as a company. The current strategy seems to be "keep the cash pile safe for the hedge fund and don't make waves".
Pros
The real reward of the work here is that you made a difference in the fortunes of your customers - literally.
Cons
Mgmt is clueless on how to use the talent that exists within the workforce
Advice to Senior Management
The company has an incredible group of employees. The company strategy has been "Drift along until ..." but going back to the basics 'Take Care of the Customers" that Ken Sharma pushed would help drive some blood through this zombie of an organization.
Pros
Used to be a fabulous place with smart people; i2 has good set of products which are still pretty valuable for the clients.
Cons
Over time, i2 market share has deteriorated quite a bit. That has led to limited growth prospects and effectively most good people have left the firm.
Advice to Senior Management
Try to get a good M & A deal through, so the acquiring company can fund the necessary R & D, new talent, and customer reach.
Pros
This was a company full of smart people, good products that somehow seemed to lose its way. Peers were generally competent and helpful. Considerable flexibility in the way you did your work. Some groups were well run and if you happened to be in one of them, you'd be happy.
Cons
Lack of consistent policies and some very blatant favoritism in promotions. Managers changed frequently and were a hit and miss. Salaries were typically at the low end of market. Some very incompetent managers - people with no leadership skills but who still rose up due to their "connections".
Advice to Senior Management
Senior management really needs to learn the ability to identify the solid contributors from the rest, particularly at the director level and higher.
