Pros
Very sharp people to work with in Los Colinas office.
Interesting projects and clients.
Solid products with definable business benefits.
Cons
Training was superficial.
Supervisor was inaccessible. Did not even say "Hi" during training. Attended first project kick off meeting, then disappeared for months. Never called.
Project was total chaos and professionally embarrassing.
Knowledge sharing was minimal.
Advice to Senior Management
You should have stayed focused on the core competencies. The diversion into the Trade Matrix / exchange in about 2000 was clearly a huge mistake. There was also a huge lack of customer focus during my time.
Pros
great people, technically competent, had vision.
Cons
the market and business did not do justice to the firms intentions.
Pros
Some of the best minds worked creating solutions to complex SCM & SRM problems. It was best company with great culture and environment.
Cons
The top management should have developed the business rather just focus on selling the company. The board just made money by selling the company cheap.
Advice to Senior Management
Please do the honest thing when you have great people working under you and delivering products that make impact and benefit the business saving millions of dollars.
Pros
Get to keep airline and hotel points for travelling
Cons
lask of leadership, unstable product
Advice to Senior Management

the Process are very simple and transparent.
Cons
Interpersonal relations among employees overshadows the professionalism.
Advice to Senior Management
Everything can't be measured in figures.
Pros
works always fun and a lot to learn
Cons
Management does not care about employee growth
Advice to Senior Management
None
Pros
you get to work with some of the best minds in the industry. there are some really hardworking and motivated people in ti2
Cons
well its been bought by jda, so hopefully jda can fix what used to be flaws with i2 technologies in the past
Advice to Senior Management
nothing really, am sure jda did a study before buying i2 tech. so hopefully they bring good change and march forward
Pros
i2 used to be the dream company of many people about a decade ago...some of those traits still exist. For eg: a small company feel, open work culture and a great product range
Cons
First of all, i2 is no longer an independant entity...has been taken over by JDA,so can't expect JDA to fulfill the career aspirations of the erstwhile i2-ers. Secondly, i2 has consistently been amongst the poorest paymasters. Third, the quality of people has been degrading continuously.
Advice to Senior Management
Please rationalize the pay structures as per the industry norms
Pros
The salary and bonus was competitive and the job came with some perks - free snacks, drinks and Friday lunches.
You had the opportunity to work with smart peers and project team members and with challenging customer-facing projects. Being a technical person, it was thrilling to understand the company's products and their benefits from the inside and to try to capitalize on such understanding when trying to sell and/or get them to work and benefit the paying customers.
I had the opportunity to work on several projects in various industries and with different supply chain related products from detailed scheduling to B2B.
Cons
Management strategies seemed too driven by short term goals to meet Wall street expectation. Company expanded too fast with many acquisitions in its early years. Working environment could get pretty unstructured and chaotic with team and/or product not being fully integrated and newly acquired products/personnels were involved.
Perhaps some good did come out of those experience - I got more taste of "start-up" working experience.
Advice to Senior Management
i2 do have great techinical workers and products. Now that i2 is part of JDA, hopefully JDA can better manage those resources and assets with a clearer strategic vision.
