I worked at iGATE (more than 3 years)

    Pros

Will get onsite opportunities depending on the project. Sometimes it is very short but also long durations

    Cons

Very erratic situations/ sometimes panic/ just like other service companies will dispose u in times of
problems. Need to do a lot of polishing of higher people for growth.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Don't send good people out just because you faced shortage of projects , because other good people will exit and you will be the loser

I have been working at iGATE full-time (more than an year)

    Pros

Provides opportunities to excel in various technology area. Good for those who are looking for some head start in the technology services area. Appears to be on the growth path with a new CEO in place

    Cons

Doesn't have good technology practice units for middleware and emerging technologies. More investment (both in technology and people) is needed. Brand value seems to be a constraint for bagging larger deals

    Recommends
    Neutral Outlook

I have been working at iGATE full-time (more than an year)

    Pros

salary is in line with industry standard.
    Regular annual hikes
Pays variable pay quarterly more than 90% of it.
Approachable managers and easy to interact.
Emerging company with lots of changes lined up with new top leadership.

    Cons

you will find only GE Projects to work which runs with very less margin or zero, due to that you will have limited resources in a project and so much pressure on everyone including managers.
Everyone works in shift including HR personnel start from 8am to 1 am.
No SAP practice in this company only one or two projects with very less employees to work.
You will have to reach your work area via sky walk though you have additional entry point to the building.
No Shift and Holiday work allowance.
You will not get good food even though we have 3 canteens in the campus.
you will have to execute a bond with IGATE for onsite and they send only one resource per proj to onsite that guy has to manage everything from there.

    Doesn't Recommend

    Pros

Friendly crowd, Lots of technical and competency training and skill enhancement opportunities

    Cons

Poor company policies, not employment satisfaction, task-oriented approach even if it means cutting the employee aspirations

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Consider involving clients in decision making so that flexibility is extended to employees with the blessing of the client. Too many rigid and stringent company policies.
