I have been working at iMDsoft full-time for more than a year

    Pros

Work from home opportunity, average salary. Training is there, but could be better. Some documentation is getting centralized slowly. Project managers are hard working.

    Cons

Difficulty in structure of some systems. Interfaces seem to be on going problem. Need for more developers and applications people. Some company health benefits have been reduced. Documentation can be scarce or hard to find for some things, could use some more improvement.

I have been working at iMDsoft full-time for more than 5 years

    Pros

Used to be a nice environment. Low salaries always, but nice people.

    Cons

Became really bad (in the US). Low level of personnel and deteriorating product and service level.
Worst management team than all companies I've worked with.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

In short - Treat employees and customers with more dignity. Understand that "you pay peanuts, you get monkeys".
Learn to take responsibility on your level of management. Very easy to blame everybody else.
    Choose your management team wisely.

    I worked at iMDsoft full-time

    Pros

What was great about iMDsoft is that it allowed people with very versatile backgrounds sometimes without any technological background to enter the High-Tech space. It also promotes heavily from within thus giving people the opportunity to prove themselves without prior knowledge, train on the job and get to good positions.

    Cons

The flip-side of this, is that some people in key positions are not very well equipped with the proper tools to manage and lead. It also created a "Family" atmosphere, which isn't good for a business who needs to strive from Information sharing, not information dependence.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Mix-it up, promote from within, but allow new talent to enter into key positions who have good credentials but who are also willing to get their hands dirty at onset to learn about the product, company and people, as there is a lot to learn.

I worked at iMDsoft full-time for more than 5 years

    Pros

MetaVision is a great product, not sure it has real competition (feature wise), in the acute care arena (OR and ICU).
The Tel-Aviv office is a great working place, young and dynamic.
The young generation used to be highly motivated, devoted, multi-cultural, flexible and friendly, great atmosphere.
The company is a real fighter- never gives up on a project and invests all that is needed for the success of a project. I liked it a lot.

I have learned a lot from experienced people and gained knowledge and experience.
Overall, iMDsoft is a great place to work for a few years, not sure if for life

    Cons

MetaVison is limited to a narrow niche, no doubt it limits the growth of the company and furthermore threatens the existence of MetaVision in existing implementations.
There is no real hospital wide solution even thought this was discussed years ago, due to problematic prioritization of decision makers, precious time lost.
Management level is somewhat reluctant to challenged the comfort zone...decisions are postponed and often it harms the company. I now know that internal politics are also an issue.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Promote people based on their skills and devotion, make sharp decisions when needed and make MetaVision a company wide solution with limited "patches" and tailor made developments...

I worked at iMDsoft full-time for more than a year

    Pros

    The people were nice
There was a decent work/life balance

    Cons

The developers were inexperienced, poorly trained and led by incompetent managers,.
most of the experience is in-house since most of them never worked anywhere else, keeping the developing standards low.
Bad decisions were made, just for the sake of "getting it done" with no regards for SW develeopment or maintenance considerations or proper planning.
There was no where to develop and grow professionally.
The work itself was mainly maintenance of a very poorly written code.

    Cons

Very poor executive skills - hard decisions aren't taken
since TPG bought the company the future of the company isn't clear
Tensed working environment w/ a lot of hostile inter-politic relationships
One product company w/ small customer base/market share
Uncreative company \ will not take any risk
    No privacy for employees
    No parking space
    Customers are getting worried

    I worked at iMDsoft full-time

    Pros

Most of the people that you work with are friendly and trying their best with the limited resources they have.
    Great insurance plan.

    Cons

    As mentioned, very poor compensation.
Expectation that you are always "on."
Do not expect to be treated like an adult, try to leave early/come in late for appointments because you will be told you need to "make up the time."
Too much micromanagement. Extreme emphasis on following work instructions to the letter. If you step outside the lines, you will be spoken to.
The process gets in the way of the job.
Extremely dysfunctional management team. Yelling at and insulting employees is commonplace.
There is no real teamwork among the different divisions. Everyone is looking for someone else to blame and senior management feeds into this culture.
There is no feeling of working towards a common goal. Every division is run as its manager's personal fiefdom.
The US "headquarters" is actually just a satellite office. All major decisions and development go through the Israel office.
A distinct lack of knowledge of how the US healthcare market works. And a distinct disinclination to learn the differences between US and Europe.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    Replace current management stucture.
    Provide more training
    Review compensation structure
Understand that there is a work/life balance
