Former Employee – worked at iProspect full-time for more than a year
Pros – Good lesson in crash course SEM, which forces you to think quick on your feet since there isn't a structured training schedule.
Cons – HR at the Chicago office is short staffed and inefficient. No training structure, micromanagement, favoritism, unnecessary high stress, high turnover and incredibly low morale.
Advice to Senior Management – Chicago Management: it's SEM, not neuroscience.
To the CEO: spend more time in the Chicago office.
No, I would not recommend this company to a friend – I'm not optimistic about the outlook for this company

Former Employee – worked at iProspect full-time for more than 3 years
Pros – iProspect can give the, " just out of college" professionals an introduction to SEO or SEM. You'll make some good friends at the entry level.
Cons – I know many people in the agency world, and iProspect has by far the worst upper management in the industry. There is a definite lack of talent at the Director level, and specifically in Chicago, and Detroit... What happens is all the Boston rejects get sent to Chicago and Detroit to fill the Director and above roles... It's sad, because employee's and client's work suffer... There's also a lot of lip service on promises that never happen... If you're set on working for an agency, I would seek out another one to work for, there are too many other options to put up with the disappointment at this office... They're REALLY bad about internal promotions.
Advice to Senior Management – replace all the directors in Detroit, and Chicago...

Current Employee – been working at iProspect
Pros – Amazing training - great insights. Great place for starting a career. Gives amazing training and alot of education about the job
Cons – Decent compensation. Very few job opportunities towards desired advancement.
Advice to Senior Management – Would help if recognition is given beyond the so called "favorite" people.

Former Employee – worked at iProspect
Pros – Most of the people are fun
Cons – They expect employees to work long hours with minimal compensation. Promotions are given to the most incompetent employees, typically the ones that suck up the most. The new client services model removes all power from employees in terms of career growth within the company. The intern to hire program is entertaining. Each month a few college-aged kids are hired to replace the interns that were promoted to replace the employees that left due to how unhappy they were. The interns are immediately excited because they can drink at work, not realizing that it's inappropriate to get drunk in front of coworkers.
Advice to Senior Management – Revisit your qualification requirements for mid and upper level management.
Slow down or stop the intern program and actually hire educated, mature employees.
Provide a better salary to employees who deserve it.
Go back to the original client services model.
Implement a training program that actually works.

Current Employee – been working at iProspect
Pros – The people are really great, I never expected to be friends with everyone I worked with. Generally hours are pretty much 9-5.
Good place to get relevant experience and then go somewhere else.
Cons – iProspect implemented an intern to hire program which has resulted in very cheap labor over the past year and a half. Instead of hiring professionals with experience iProspect only recruits from the university level in order to pay a low hourly wage while training new employees. After they've completed their internship they're hired on for a low wage salary as well. It is a huge deterrent to individuals who are experienced in the industry and want to be surrounded by like minded individuals. The culture is fun and young... but I think they have taken the "young" part too far.
Promotions aren't merit based, they're given to whoever brown noses the most.
Annual raises are only given if you haven't been promoted during that year... and don't expect much more than 3-4%.
Limited professional growth: iProspect rolled out a new client service model... which resulted in the same exact model with a few new titles that are the exact same position as before with a fancy new useless title.
Advice to Senior Management – Senior management in this office is pretty horrible. I've heard that its much better in other locations. Senior management needs to look at why there is a mass exodus out of the Chicago office in order to keep some talent around.

Current Employee – been working at iProspect
Pros – Lots of trainings and opportunities to learn. Management is very supportive and listen to their employees.
Cons – Very narrow in scope of work
Advice to Senior Management – We need more training for the senior employees, there's lots of training for he people who have been there a while but there comes a point where you have no one to go to when you have an issue, especially for SEO.
