    Pros

There are some really smart people at this company. They are really helpful. The wok-life balance is pretty good but it depends on the project as well.

    Cons

The salary is not the best in the area and the projects tend to be outsourcing ones.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    Grow salaries.

I have been working at iQuest Technologies full-time (more than 5 years)

    Pros

Stability, professionalism and career management. Great benefits and an ongoing preoccupation for innovation. Special attention is given to details such as better displays for glasses-wearers, maternal leave, 10 years anniversaries in the company (most colleagues get latest MacPros and other cool expensive gadgets.

    Cons

Some locations have crowded office spaces, but the new location in Cluj will be a gem.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Talk more before starting a new project, not after. Have more guts to let people go from management positions when it is obvious that the people don;t like them and they way they managed the others.

I have been working at iQuest Technologies full-time (more than 3 years)

    Pros

Agile approach on many processes, not just projects.
    No micro-management.
Your voice is really heard at the top level.
One can really learn here. A lot.

    Cons

    Permanent changes.
Objectives are many times too hard, unbelievable -> big workload.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Sometimes, doing less is doing more. Focus on fewer things but follow through.

I worked at iQuest Technologies full-time (more than an year)

    Pros

People with good technical skills, well organised company

    Cons

Very unhealthy work environment, poor wages, very few benefits, stressful environment, very authoritarian management structure, tolerated and encouraged abusive behavior amongst colleagues, refused trainings (employees are expected to train themselves whenever they have spare time or during their free time).
Technical managers is all powerful and they deal poorly with HR matters (despite the company having an HR department). One cannot bring change because all the managers are friends and support each other no matter how wrong they are proven to be.
Employees' opinion is almost always neglected.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Reassess your technical management team, especially in Java Solutions; some of them lack leadership skills and promote an unhealthy work environment.
Have the HR team psychologically test some of the employees (you have one individual with sadistic traits who has a leadership position).

    Pros

Can't think of one. Too many cons

    Cons

Full of conflictual husband / wife / cousins / grandchildren environment
    Hypocrisy
All promises are lies, or partial truths at most
    Rude jerks everywhere
Sinking ship - everyone for himself

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Leave, you're destroying the values you're pretending to have and probably never had. Let people advance from the inside (+trainings), rather than bringing outsiders.

I have been working at iQuest Technologies full-time

    Pros

The company has a generous goal of being the best in the world.
The culture is built on values shared by all employees.
    Excellent profitability.

    Cons

It's all about business volumes and cost (read salary) optimization.
Some of the best people (including leaders who have been with the company for 10 years) are leaving the company and the attrition rates have increased.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    Remember how you got here.

  10.

    Great learning environment, poor compensation

Former Employee - Solution Consultant in Cluj-Napoca (Romania)

I worked at iQuest Technologies full-time (more than an year)

    Pros

Fantastic people - top professionals with enormous expertise in their job
    Good learning / coaching environment
Big customers / brands form which you can learn

    Cons

Poor compensation (pays at about ~50% what the local market is offering)
Area Leads (middle-top management) have a tendency to forget their promises if it doesn't fit them any more
Stress / pressure / work load can be quite high in some moments

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

You have great people in your company. Unfortunately, nasty turf wars are creeping in and ruining the experience of some people.
Try to protect your people from this, pay them better (in accordance to the industry) and you'll have the best software company to work for, in Cluj.
