Former Employee – worked at ioko365
Pros – Opportunity to work with many talented developers & architects, enjoyed the challenges, made good friends.
Wider exposure to technologies & can gain experience working for large broadcasting companies
Flexible timing with 10-4 in office being mandatory.
Cons – Poor working environment, very little space to sit and do work in London Office
Poor career progression
Wages are very average considering the work & travel one has to do depending on project
Advice to Senior Management – People needs to be recognised and promoted based on their talent, skills, contribution & feedback. Please don't wait years and years to promote someone.
Please improve working environment as there is hardly any space left for movement in London Office.

Current Employee – been working at ioko365
Pros – There is a lot of interesting technology to work with, and a reasonable scope to take ownership of projects and be creative if you can find the headroom.
The atmosphere among the staff is friendly, and people are generally very helpful.
Cons – The support teams are utterly bogged down in a swamp of misguided and inconsistent service management processes, along with applications to support them that are not fit for purpose. For this reason it often feels as though you are working against the company rather than for them!
On call is often brutal, with false alerts abound, and there is no technical aspect to the 24/7 teams to help filter out the garbage.
Poor documentation and poorly designed hosting solutions by people clearly out fo their depth make life more difficult than neccessary.
Advice to Senior Management – Hire somebody from a huge service management company who has real service management experience, knows what governence is all about. Promote and nourish talent rather than 'yes men' before you discover that when the proverbial hits the fan you're escalating into a team of process monkeys!

Pros – Extremely good technical environment in which to work - colleagues are excellent and there is a lot of knowledge and experience passed around the office. There is praise from Senior Management for achievement and putting in the extra effort to meet customer needs.
Cons – Working hours are often very long, but there is a relatively long standard working week for the UK, which means that even in quiet times, there is a requirement to be in the office. Parking is also an issue. On occasion, company procedures reveal the fact that the company has recently experienced very fast growth from a small company, but the procedures have not yet caught up to reflect this. Some of the packages are still based around a young workforce, so no health scheme, although there is a pension and death in service package.
Advice to Senior Management – Move to a shorter working week - when work is required, people will put the hours in, but when there is a quiet period, people would feel it easier to catch up on home life.

Pros – The financial side of things is incredibly well run. Recruitment is done carefully and you won't find many people who are not good at what they have been hired to do.
Cons – Sometimes people seem to be promoted based on their percieved technical skills and/or willingness to put in overtime, rather than their suitability for a new role. We have several middle managers who are dedicated and technically very good, but they may not be well suited to managing others.
Advice to Senior Management – Consider providing more management training to people who have been promoted into management posts from technical roles within the company.
