    Pros

The work environment is very open and relaxed. Upper management interact with other employees quite regularly which makes the atmosphere very easy going.

    Cons

It seems like twice a year there is a spike in layoff's but that is expected in the consultant world. It feels like upper management keep getting promoted while everyone else fight for their jobs.

     - Employee Event cut
     - Bonus cut
     - The small company feel has been overrun by corporate bottom line

    Pros

A lot of talented people, singularly focused on SAP. Used to have a great family culture, but has changed over the last 5 years.

    Cons

Have changed from an employee-friendly culture to a profit-driven culture, at the expense of employees.
Too many reorganizations and restructuring - every year.
Trying to be an enterprise consulting organization, but can't break out of mid-market thinking.
Face pressure every quarter from German parent (itell AG), and ultimate parent NTT Data.
Investment in employee training has been sacrificed for profitability reasons. Training has been reduced to self-learning in MOOCs.

    Advice to Management

Figure out what you're good at, and focus on that. Then invest in your people, in those areas.
Stop trying to be a little SAP. Constant reorganizations hurt the bottom line, morale, productivity, employees, and their families.

    Pros

This company had very good leadership and direction at one point. I would say that was probably at least 3-5 years ago. They do focus specifically on SAP, so that gives them a good concentration in one area. There are many talented consultants there, but many have left.

    Cons

The SAP industry has been fairly steady over the years. Different technologies within that arena have come and gone, but there have always been good opportunities to succeed. itelligence does not adapt to those changes well. They DO NOT take care of their employees. They have gone through several restructures and resource reductions leaving many people without jobs. The short-sighted management allows this to happen year after year. Treating their employees like they are not valued. They have attempted to purchase other technology companies and failed horribly at integrating them into their own process. They do not use the technology well within their own organization to be able to "drink the SAP Kool-Aid" so to speak. They fail to train/invest in their people. It is all about the bottom line with no focus on the person. Being a consulting company and their "commodity" is their people, they do not treat them like that. If you have a product, you want to invest in it. If you treat it poorly, you will have a bad product. That is what happens there. If you are looking for a job here, "don't do it".

    Advice to Management

I now work for a competitor, so please keep doing what you are doing.

    Pros

Lots of smart people to work with. One of the few companies with exclusive SAP focus. Nice office in Cincinnati.

    Cons

Management has lost focus. Frequent reorgs. Sr Execs keep promoting themselves in each reorg. More Directors, VPs and Sr VPs than people who actually do work and bill. Huge overhead results in poor margins. Ratio of billable to non billable people is horrendously skewed. Everyone wants to get promoted into a non billable job. No innovation and famously non sales friendly for such a small organization (NA). Big layoffs are underway...

    Advice to Management

Stop promoting yourselves... get more people to do billable work and try to raise your rates... too many under-qualified people "managing" people who are actually doing good work...

    Pros

Many skilled consultants on the front line. Loyalty of long-term employees that have seen the company grow dramatically. Lots a nice and friendly people.

    Cons

Short-term focused rather than investing and building for the future. The family, employee first culture has vanished over the past 5 years as NTT data has exerted greater influence. Longevity is never recognized or rewarded. Multiple layoffs of staff over past few years. Senior management rarely takes responsibility for mistakes. Soft benefits like the Company meeting and training/conference opportunities are the first expenses to be cut.

    Advice to Management

Concentrate on long-term growth rather than just short-term profit. Provide a stable organizational structure that doesn't change every 6 months. Reward loyalty of long-term employees. Invest in the skillset of employees and future growth by providing more training opportunities.

    Pros

Some very knowledgeable people supporting specific verticals
    Globally, offers good opportunity

    Cons

Want to be more innovative but lack the credibility to execute it
Leadership lacks understanding and experience of innovative technologies
Company grew up as an ERP organization supporting small customers ; still think like that with their strategy

    Advice to Management

Enable the talent you have to execute instead of trying to dictate strategy
Better planning ; every year you have to lay-off good people due to poor mgmt
Don't forget how to cultivate revenues in proven approaches as you move to innovation based solutions

    Pros

    Decent PTO policies
Opportunity to work with a global team if you play it right
Some managers still try to do the right things, even though not supported by CEO/CFO

    Cons

Complete loss of any employee appreciation.
    - Cut employee events
    - Cut 401k
    - Cut health care plans
    - Cut tenure bonus program
    - Cut salaries
    - Cut free pops & cookies
    - Cut employee welcome event

Bottom line Dollars is the only driver and the management is at best incompetent. No adjustment to where the SAP industry goes, always behind in innovations and too static in what they do.

Constant restructuring and no vision from the CEO lead to more and more employees (even executives) leaving because there is no future for this company.

Management and CEO could not care less about their employees, the current CFO and NTT killed the culture that once made a great company.

    Advice to Management

Switch off the lights and retire. Laying 10% of your workforce off each year because of your crappy management / resource planning approach actually impacts real people and their families - maybe something to think about before the next hiring frenzy.
