I have been working at lululemon full-time (more than an year)

    Pros

Positive work environment filled with driven, fun, and people. The company's time and effort out into training is refreshing to see, especially in the retail industry.

    Cons

As a full-time employee it can become difficult to get any time off due to part-time employee limited availability. Seen many training gaps created through rushing new hires through program due to lack of employees on store roster.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Focus on keeping the excitement alive with added structure to the store and the people operating it.

    Pros

Great people, values, pay & benefits. You can't go wrong. Also who doesn't like working in comfy clothing 24/7??

    Cons

With your store discount and new product constantly available use discretion in what you buy or you will end up bringing half of your pay check home.

I worked at lululemon part-time (less than an year)

    Pros

Awesome discounts and the pay for a seasonal job for extra money was great.

    Cons

Some of the managers were very rude (but I had never worked at a retail store before so I can imagine retail managers are rude everywhere). There is a lot of pressure to live and breathe lululemon- wear all the clothes, go to fitness classes with your coworkers, share your life goals. It was bizarre to try to live by the lulu rules.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

I understand you are trying to brand lulu to be different, but the culture is overkill! Relax a little!

    Pros

    Discount
    Free Workouts
    Bonus commission
    Idea of culture is nice
    In store literature

    Cons

    Leadership = mediocre
Need to be very malleable for promotion
Your feedback is encouraged, but reality is, it's just a means to use what you say to plan your demise (muahaha)
Expected to go above and beyond without compensation
Idea of culture is nice but was never executed

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Grow up. Do what you preach.

I worked at lululemon part-time (more than an year)

    Pros

Active people who share the same healthy mindset, lots of goals and development and they spend a lot of time training you. I worked for the company on/off through college and it was always a fun place compared to other retail jobs. The discount was great also!!

    Cons

Lately I've noticed the quality of products are suffering due to growth - and the company is not being honest. Their business practices are no longer aligned with my beliefs. #Shady
Management is waaayyy too close to the company, meaning ALL THEY DO is think about lululemon. "Omg, #JobLove!!!"... Excuse me while I #GAG
The whole "work/life" balance they promote? Sounds great, but everyone hangs out with everyone from work and there is no balance. It's cliquey, promotions are based off of friendships, not qualifications, and if they don't like you, you won't get hours or get promoted.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Go back to the way things were in 2010 and 11 Make quality, unique items that you can't find anywhere else. Stop cheaping out on the discounts you used to give us, stop promo-ing stuff to your friends and give back to the community like we used to. Back in the day, the bottom line was "elevating the world from mediocrity to greatness".. Now it's "how little can we make this for and still sell it for $98"

I worked at lululemon full-time (more than an year)

    Pros

Great discount, although you will lead to you spending way too much money on clothes that you really don't need.

    Cons

Surprise, surprise, it's a cult. If you're in, you'll go far. As soon as you decided you aren't 100% down! expect to get fired after a few FFIs.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

No advice. This company is going nowhere good.
