    Pros

Nice co-workers and great regular schedule.

    Cons

Company expects you to work multiple roles and extra hours (staying late/weekends) for no additional pay, expensive benefit package and company doesn't show much employee appreciation.

    Pros

Effective and placing a volume of bodies in seats for Clients.

Work efficiently to fill positions with low cost, mediocre quality candidates

    Cons

Little regard for quality of or careers for candidates

Focus is on cheapest resources possible

Leadership from PGM onsite to Executive Leadership lack integrity

No regard for the work their customers are trying to do, only securing their own profit margins

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Become Client instead of profit focused

I worked at nextSource as a contractor (more than a year)

    Pros

NextSource provided a port in a storm, but not much else. If you are the kind of person that has trouble being patient while you are waiting for a more serious and long term career move, NextSource might fit the bill - - temporarily.

    Cons

I was brought on board at the client site, never having interviewed with either NextSource or the client; I knew people on the inside that referred me. I suspect that somebody cozied up to the hiring manager to skim a referral fee.

During the time I was their, the resource manager NEVER initiated contact with me; I never heard from them until my contract was terminated. I was a W2 employee, but I was all alone.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

It is difficult to imagine ANYONE accepting the benefits presented by NextSource. In fact, I suspect that nobody does accept them because my effort to gain information about the 401K program flustered at least five people in HR Benefits Administration; This includes the third-party plan administrator.

I was eventually provided some plan literature and saw that NextSource requires nearly a year before you can participate. Then, although they advertise a *discretionary* match, there is no record that it was ever paid to anyone. That track record doesn't indicate that it is discretionary at all - - to me. I never received a list of investment options, by the way.

In summary, sometimes your best efforts just aren't good enough. Why bother offering benefits at all? Stick to staff augmentation and billing.

    Pros

Great culture mix within the technology crew
    Helpful technology staff members
Technology director is open to innovation and improving the software
    Company hasa high growth potential

    Cons

Sudden shifts in the direction of software development without adequate details to the technology department
    high employee turnover
    Instability in future of employment

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Provide the staff with a little bit more transparency.
Investigate the technological needs to better the growth of the company from the people doing it everyday.
Invest into a happier technology department to unleash their potential.
A well grounded and motivated technology department can take the software a long way.

I have been working at nextSource full-time (more than 3 years)

    Pros

Anyone not in management is easy to get along with, regardless of the department

    Cons

Management is clueless, they'll give you a task to do a give you as little data as possible to complete it, then get upset because it isn't the way that they'd have completed the task. Also, if you do something wrong, you'll get embarrassed in-front of your peers, but if you catch management screwing up, everything is okay. There is also a lot of "throwing under the bus" being done. For every new benefit (is any) that they decide to give you, you'll lose 2 older ones. There is also no such thing as advancement or growth. You come in as a specific title, you leave or get fired with that same title. No raises if you're not in management, who usually get bonuses, raises and "awards". Giving input is a waste of breath, especially if you're in IT. Surprisingly, you actually get stupider the longer you stay here as well.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Either learn how to be good managers, quit or ask for a demotion
