    Pros

Hours are not too demanding for students. Average shifts they give are three 5-hour shifts each week.

    Cons

Disconnect between front store cashiers and production workers in the back. There's no sense of urgency for production workers to get back to cashiers on price checks, and so the cashiers receive customers' anger.

    Advice to Management

Encourage better communication between the front and back.

    Pros

    Nice people, nice environment

    Cons

Manager would cut our hours even though we worked more. Won't let us sign in or sign out ourselves. Boss would make us stay longer without paying us.

    Advice to Management

    Don't do anything illegal.

I have been working at no frills part-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Paid weekly Can change availability every week Friendly people, since all departments are not competing with eachother

    Cons

Seniority gets more benefits Only got more shifts because one of the full timers quit No purchasing benefits of working here (e.g. no discounts) The work pace varies day to day, e.g. it can be really slow on Thursdays but super busy on Saturdays, therefore managers making you work faster

I worked at no frills part-time (More than a year)

    Pros

    - You build a bond with your coworkers pretty quickly - The work itself is not too challenging, for the most part - Ample amounts of shifts and steady, by-the-week pay - For the most part, customers were unproblematic If you're willing to do any type of work a lot of hours, go for this job.

    Cons

    - Management (Pushed clerks around too hard, did little work themselves, assigned some part timers ridiculous amounts of hours (30+) and got frustrated with them when they could not work that much) - Some heavy duty work was required to be done under a small amount of time - Very poor atmosphere at times - Incredibly mundane work - Some clerks would get assigned an aisle that would be too much for one person to handle, while another would get an overly easy one

    Advice to Management

Profit Sharing with part timers (and full timers) along with less pushing towards fairly pointless tasks (OCD level facing); focus on stock and keeping it tidy.
