    Pros

Some good reasons, to work at SMILE are the educational opportunity, the advancement to move up the latter and increases in the pay as your education is up graded.

    Cons

SMILE offers many benefits, such as a 401 K Plan, insurance, holiday pay, and for some employees to be off for holidays with their children. The opportunity to continue your educational experiences and ways and means to meet children where they are.

    Advice to Management

To be consistent across the board, treat all employees with dignity and respect, leave friendship at home, and make restitution to reward your employee. Give all the same opportunity for advancement within you organization.

    Pros

The clients at SMILE are fabulous and make the job worthwhile. Working with developmentally disabled adults is a real treat.

    Cons

Management does not seem to be there for the right reason. The training is non-existent and
"contract workers" (who should be employees) are berated for not knowing their job.

    Advice to Management

Change management to someone who actually has experience in the field.

    I worked at smile

    Pros

    Personal needs very highly considered.
    Stronf focus on equal opportunities
    Some interesting projects
An all round w arm and fuzzy feeling

    Cons

    Really bad blame culture
Decision by committee, if at all
Lots of dead wood and a very tight knit "old school" who all look out for each other

    Advice to Management

Conduct a major pruning and make some tough decisions about people and projects.
Give the right people some serious decision making responsibility and hold them accountable to deliver

    Pros

    Advice to Management

Smile is an excellent company to start career at. Projects are middle sized with fixed budget.
A lot of knowledge sharing activities.

    Cons

Process is not ideal. No QA engineers at all. Projects are usually underestimated and not always interesting.
Working from home is not allowed.
