    work-life balance, minimum workload and flexible work hours

    Cons

    Been hired for 4.5 months and have 0 direction from management team on what my role is supposed to be. The total hours of work I have done is probably less than a week. Leaders spend a lot of time talking but not executing. Company is too big that the management team doesn't know what employees do.

    the merger was good but also a complete disaster. both companies rushed into the merger and now trying to figure out the new direction and new teams.

    Understand what employees actually do. Consider having training manuals if applicable.

    Their pay is competitive, they have great benefits, and they are very flexible in times of need.

    They closed all 130 retail stores.

    Committed co-workers and colleagues. Safe work environment and good company commitment to safety.

    Cons

    Limited opportunities for advancement. No training or training support. Vague company direction. Lack of local, regional and national leadership.

    Take the time to determine who we want to be as a company, share this plan with the employees, and then drive all activities to achieve those goals. Remain committed to those goals, fund their achievement and don't change course mid-stream.

    Pros

    Liked the people and culture of the organization. The atmosphere is caring and open to help each employee succeed. Xpedx allows for quick collaboration and learning throughout the organization with a lot of industry experience available to pull into any project.

    Pros

    People are genuinely cordial, well meaning individuals. Supervisors seem to be fair with their staff. Lots of coffee at the office, relatively well regarded company in the industry.

    Benefits are relatively typical, but not bad.

    Cons

    Management doesn't understand why they are losing market share, and is trying to "reinvent" the company in order to compete. Market is moving way too fast for a stodgy old school approach. This means that if you are in sales you don't have the tools that customers are gravitating towards, and your opportunities for success are diminished.

    Merger may be a disaster for the future of the company and investors in it, because there is no way for a company with this amount of overhead to capitalize on synergies and now the company will have debt, which it previously did not.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    Need to live in the "now." Having capabilities in the future does not get you customers in the present. Speed is more critical than anything in logistics and distribution. Customers don't wait, and if they do, they go elsewhere.
