You are going to get 1000 applications wasting 990 people's time by ignoring them or sending some depressing rejection letter and then you are going to hire some awful braggadocios sleazeball person who knew how to bloat themselves with keywords while ignoring qualified people who may be a little more modest or honest but actually have the skills you need because you don't read resumes, you are probably a HS or community college grad and can't conceive of what a more educated person actually knows and if their degree isn't an exact match for your job description you overlook them even if that particular degree is actually a BETTER match for the job than the one you asked for. And you never even know the misery you cause. Good, QUALIFIED people's pets are dying because they can't afford vet bills, people are losing their homes, going into debt, committing suicide, not getting needed healthcare for themselves, freezing, starving and otherwise suffering because you are focused on a keyword rather than on HUMANS, who are diverse, unique, creative and special and cannot be condensed into a single sheet of paper or keyword laden filtering software. I don't know how you sleep at night. I think recruiters and slaughterhouse workers must be cut from the same cloth.

Who cares what you write? Employers put such phrases because, well, that's how it's done when they need to match against something. Job seekers put those exact words because that's what companies look for in ads, despite numerous advices and articles saying "FFS don't use such keywords anymore they are meaningless!". Enter some convenient automation now and winner is the one whose resume gets greatest % match. No time and place leave any impression, on both sides.

Hello John, thank you for great tips.

Regarding point 3: this has become real vicious circle.
