Most say to me no one has ever asked that question before and many struggle with the answer. I find it insightful.The manhole cover is an obvious one.  The light bulb is not - the answers here suggest the bulb is not weakened from previous drops and therefore at the point of breakage an accurate assessment of height can be deduced.
