Glassdoor has been honored by onrec as one of 2011 recruiting awards winners. The winners were honored earlier this week at the annual RECRUITING CONFERENCE in Chicago, Ill. The awards highlight some of the best recruiting efforts by corporate recruitment departments, recruitment advertising/creative agencies on behalf of clients operating in any industry sector, or private or public companies.

In all seriousness, we’re through the roof excited about this nomination for one of the Internet industry’s two most sought-after awards: The Webby Award and The Webby People’s Voice Award. We also are honored in the guides/ratings/reviews category – although we’re no longer in the running for an official Webby Award, it does mean that of the nearly 10,000 entries received from all 50 states and over 60 countries, Glassdoor was given the distinction of being awarded as the top 15% of all sites entered in this category – a pretty cool achievement.
The Webby’s are the leading International award honoring excellence in interactive design, creativity, usability and functionality on the Internet. And, the Webby People’s Voice Awards is one of the few major awards that invite the public to participate by allowing them to vote for their favorite nominees.

Eligibility Requirements:
At least 25 Glassdoor-approved company reviews from United States-based employees between January 1, 2009 and December 1, 2009
An overall rating of “satisfied”, and each cumulative workplace factor category must also be at least “satisfied”
A current CEO with an approval rating of at least 50 percent
