#SHRM2010 – A Whirlwind Of A Success

We’ve just returned from the Society of Human Resources Management (SHRM) annual conference which had all-star speakers like former Vice President Al Gore, media magnate Steve Forbes, and New York Times best-selling author Michael Buckingham.

College Career Services Connect on Twitter and in person with HR/Staffing Professionals

The National Association of Colleges and Employers (NACE) kicked off its annual event this week in Las Vegas which runs through Thursday. The goal of NACE is to connect more than 5,200 college career services professionals at nearly 2,000 college and universities nationwide, with more than 3,000 HR/staffing professionals focused on college relations and recruiting.  This year’s conference is taking the level of connection a step further with a three-hour Technology Summit designed to teach and support all participants who are interested in leveraging the latest technology.  In one of the technology panels, attendees can learn to use web 2.0 technologies which will give a “how-to” on Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, blogs, and other technology tools.

You can follow what’s happening at NACE this year by logging on to Twitter and following Glassdoor (http://twitter.com/Glassdoordotcom) and if you send out any NACE-related status updates insert #NACE09 in your tweets in order to share with all those who are interested. Or, if you are attending the NACE conference, come stop by the Glassdoor booth (#421) and speak to us about what we have to offer and how we can help bridge the gap between students and HR/staffing professionals.
