Job Description

BASIC FUNCTION: Responsible for coordinating all post production activities with the customer and communicate all field issues. The Customer Support Engineer will be responsible for coordinating internal support to achieve optimum satisfaction to meet customers expectations with regards to spares, engineering, and field modification support.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES
1. Provide onsite support to customers inventory management group. Assist the customer in managing the correct level of stocked parts to adequately support their fleet and communicate probable problem parts back to spares department to effectively plan for potential increased consumption.
2. Provide onsite technical support to customers maintenance and engineering group. Occasional trouble shooting and product improvement suggestions will be essential.
3. Coordinate and track all repair activities to ensure proper TAT is met and adequate stock is available to support AOG situations.
4. Efficiently coordinate resolutions for field issues, maintenance issues, and engineering issues with all internal responsible departments.
5. Communicate effectively and regularly with Service Coordinators to ensure optimum delivery performance and support to customers.
REQUIREMENTS OF THE POSITION:
Education Requirements
·The minimum education requirements include a degree in engineering or other related technical field.
Experience Requirements
 A minimum of five years experience in aircraft production/manufacturing or relevant technical operations is highly desired. Aviation maintenance and mechanical engineering experience is highly desired.
 Working knowledge with a PC (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.) is required.
 SAP and CDB experience is highly desirable.
 Ability to interpret Engineering Drawings, Schematics, BOMs, and CMMs are essential to perform duties.
Technical Skills
· This position requires a basic understanding of aircraft seat parts and some familiarity with FAA rules and regulations.
Any candidates with strong mechanical aptitude and good mechanical engineering comprehension will greatly excel in this position.
 Analytical skills and strong trouble shooting skills will be essential
Personal Skills
 Excellent oral and written communication skills required due to the interface with customers and other internal departments.
Strong negotiating skills is essential to be successful in this position.
Strong leadership skills; ability to influence others
Strong multi-tasking skills; ability to perform well under pressure in a fast pace environment.
Strong problem solving skills are required, along with the ability to make decisions quickly with limited information.
Work effectively as a team member and/or team leader.
Multicultural background is a plus.

      Pros

      I am pretty sure this company is one of the fastest growing companies in Dallas. Money driven atmosphere, new positions are needed and is a great chance grow with this company. MOST of the people are nice. It is a call center, so don't expect much from anyone.

      Cons

      There are some crazy people walking around that company. If you have not been there for 5 years, don't expect to get paid much. Sell, sell ,sell. fake , fake , fake. A few of the managers have their nose stuck in the air and don't really care about you. There are some pleasant managers though.

      Advice to ManagementAdvice

      Get off your high horse and do your job. Favoritism is out of control . It's unfair and stops you from seeing issues with the company and it's employees. All you guys care about is yourself and your family members who all work for you!
