Job Description

The Executive Assistant for StartX represents a unique opportunity to support the community of Stanford’s best entrepreneurial talent and to work on a team of motivated leaders. With a new $3.6 million dollar grant and partnership with Stanford University and Stanford Hospital & Clinics (SHC) as well as the launch of the Stanford-StartX Fund, an uncapped venture fund, StartX is growing quickly and needs the support of a dedicated, highly organized Executive Assistant for its leadership team.

The executive assistant is expected to be an exceptional person that is well-articulated, pays attention to detail, and is fast in execution. Executive assistants need to be able to organize and manage an executive’s day to day and step in when needed to fulfill responsibilities and tasks. They increase productivity of the organization by improving efficiency of daily operations and the effectiveness of its leadership.

The main objectives for this role will be:

  • Manage and coordinate executives' tasks, responsibilities, and deadlines

  • Manage and maintain executives' schedules, appointments and travel arrangements

  • Arrange and coordinate meetings and events

  • Prepare and edit correspondence, emails, communications, presentations and other documents

  • Record, transcribe and distribute minutes of meetings

  • Monitor, screen, respond to and distribute incoming communications and emails

  • Liaise with internal staff at all levels

  • Interact with external clients

  • Coordinate project-based work

  • Review operating practices and implement improvements where necessary

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree

  • Proficient computer skills and in-depth knowledge of relevant products (eg. Google Docs)

  • Work experience desired

Compensation will be competitive and commensurate with experience.
