Job Description

KIXEYE is looking for a proven leader to help grow and manage our art and animation teams. From monsters to armored warships, our games have a distinct and memorable feel. This is a highly visible role that will work closely with our Executive Producers on concept strategy, while interacting with our Art Director and team of 2D artists and 3D animators.

What you get to do every day:

  • Responsible for the quality and timeliness of all creative efforts for the Game Studio
  • Manage a staff of designers and supervise all phases of game design including concept inception, game systems & mechanics definition, theme, visual design and game flow
  • Collaborate with Executive Producers to ensure the design meets all product goals
  • Manage rapid prototyping and proof of concept development for multiple game projects
  • Remain current on industry knowledge of competitive games, successful genres, and popular ‘fun’ mechanics; maintain knowledge of consumer demographics and psychographics within casual game market
  • Support the hiring of additional designers, artists to fill any openings on your projects
  • What you bring to the role:

  • The ideal candidate will have significant experience in multi-player social games, RPG, MMO and/or online games
  • Demonstrated ability to lead the design of multiple projects simultaneously, collaborating with internal and external teams of programmers, artists, and producers
  • A high level of creativity with extensive knowledge of games and game design
  • At least 5-10 years of experience in game design with demonstrated hands-on experience creating game concepts, documentation, systems & mechanics, narrative, etc.
  • Experience leading the design and implementation process, working with both internal and external development teams
  • Extensive experience in the planning, production and development of 2D/3D games; must be able to prioritize tasks and assign resources effectively
  • Must possess a high level of ownership, enthusiasm, and collaborative temperament
  • Excellent written, verbal communication and presentation skills
  • Must be able to provide samples of design work at multiple phases of development – concept presentations, prototypes – as well as samples of live or shipped titles
