TERM: 1 year contract, renewable
RATE: $45 – $60 per hour, commensurate with experience

IMMEDIATE REQUIREMENTS IN: Idaho, Wisconsin, New York, New Jersey, California, Iowa, Georgia, Texas, Florida; and Toronto, CANADA

DESCRIPTION
• Migrate mainframe COBOL applications to a MICRO FOCUS COBOL/UNIX
• Take part in the performance improvement of all applications
• Partake in designing, developing, unit testing, system testing and all functional testing
• Perform day-to-day programming, tests and code review
• Coordinate development with onshore & offshore facilities
• Code batch/online programs utilizing MICRO FOCUS COBOL
• Migrate mainframe data to SQL server databases
• Develop new MICRO FOCUS COBOL screens
• Liaise with the IT and business community to document end user requirements
• Provide end user support and training on applications on a as needed basis

REQUIREMENTS
• Current Micro Focus Cobol programming expertise
• Current mainframe Cobol experience
• Migration or conversion experience

ASSETS
• Mainframe Cobol to Micro Focus Cobol migration experience
• Unix, Oracle or SQL experience
