Title: Marketing and Outreach Specialist

Reports To: Weatherization Operations Manager

Description: Under general supervision will coordinate a wide range of marketing and outreach activities to promote Sacred Heart programs. Develops and/or maintains documentation related to the programs. Responsible for confidential and time sensitive materials, handles multiple projects.

Responsibilities:

Outreach & Marketing (65%)

Assist in development and execution of marketing campaigns

Prepare and distribute (by mail/in person) brochures, flyers, applications and other materials

Assist in the planning, development and execution of special events, informational workshops, clinics, etc.

Attend community events, meetings of citizen groups, and networking opportunities to promote Sacred Heart programs

Case Management (25%)

Assist in case management of special applicants as needed.

Application intake

Data entry/processing

Maintain accurate and organized case files, correspondence and other required data

Coordinate scheduling of weatherization work as needed

Follow-up with applicant or advocate for updates of application status

Under special circumstances, assists applicant with completion of application

Direct applicants to additional community resources as needed

Maintain confidentiality of information

Administrative (10%)

Conduct advanced research on a variety of topics

Update and maintain contact database

Assist in day-to-day office duties

Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

2+ years work experience

Bilingual: Spanish (spoken & written)

Basic knowledge of marketing principles

Strong interest in marketing and advertising

AS degree in Business Administration or a related field.

Minimum 2 years of experience performing duties comparable to that of a Marketing and Outreach Specialist with Sacred Heart Community Service.

Ability to operate common office equipment such as fax and postage machines, photocopiers, and multi-line telephones

Computer Skills:

Microsoft Word--Intermediate

Microsoft PowerPoint--Intermediate

Microsoft Excel--Intermediate

Microsoft Access--Beginner

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations:

Possession of an appropriate driver’s license; vehicle insurance, and a good driving record.
