* The Sr. Research Associate manages a large and complex laboratory, consisting of research assistants, graduate students, research postdoctoral fellows, and other rotating students and trainees. Designs, conducts, and documents research projects. Oversees research projects in laboratory, establishes guidelines for completion of projects including assisting in and/or taking primary responsibility for publications. Under the guidance of the P.I., leads the day-to-day operations for the laboratory, insuring optimal laboratory functioning and compliance with all institutional policies and procedures.
Qualifications: Ph.D or M.D. with specialty in Infectious Diseases, Microbiology or Immunology. Five years progressively more complex laboratory experience, including supervisory and laboratory management experience.

Knowledge Skills and Abilities Required: Knowledge of molecular biology, immunology, HIV pathogenesis and clinical trials.
