Job Description
Job Purpose:
The SAVVIS AM assists senior-level Field Sales Executives within the Asia Pacific Sales team. This will allow the achievement of their sales quota and customer retention targets by relieving them from non-selling activities during the sales campaign process. This role will also include cold calling new prospects, insides sales, direct account / prospect development and customer facing sales activity such as generating and closing sales orders.
KEY RESPONSIBILITY AREAS
* Assist SAVVIS Field Sales Executives in the sales campaign process i.e. meeting preparation including scheduling, agenda creation, material assimilation, meeting documentation and action item follow up.
* Assist in building sales quotes and final customer proposal.
* Cold calling of new prospects
* Responding to new leads and potentially follow through of deals from creation to closure
* Assist with pricing, legal and order processing during new sales or renewal process.
* Work with Solution Engineers to prepare solutions, quotations, proposals for final submission to customers
* Work with SCO Liaisons to ensure that orders are entered, approved and booked in a timely fashion. Assist in approval process for pricing, technical assuranc and Risk Assessment Board (RAB).
* Provide prospecting research via Internet and Hoovers to identify right fit for SAVVIS products and gathering C-level contact information.
* Provide customer facing support in concert with the Sales representative, the PM, and the Customer Service Partner (CSP).
* Coordinate with the CSP in service issues and escalations, customer response to service incidents, implementation issues and customer billing/credit issues.
* Complete all SAVVIS sales certification programs.
* Identification of new business and account development
SUCCESS MEASUREMENTS
* Assist the Sales team to achieve monthly/quarterly bookings target.
* Meet individual sales target if provided (The AM will be responsible for his/her own deals - usually will be the less complex deals)
* Adherence of Sales processes and procedures at all times.
* Act as a custodian of company values.
* Successful completion of sales certification programs.
* Ability to present Savvis effectively over the phone or face to face.
RELEVANT EXPERIENCE, KNOWLEDGE & TRAINING REQUIRED TO PERFORM THE ROLE
Essential
Working knowledge of network-based services and software applications.
Strong knowledge of Microsoft desktop applications including Word and Excel.
At least 3 years experience in Account Management, Sales in a Technology company
Desirable
Experience working with as a member of a sales or marketing team or relevant coursework completed as part of undergraduate or graduate curriculum. Direct account and prospect management
Working knowledge of network-based services and software applications.
Relevant experience in cloud computing, colocation or network sales
