Duties: Candidate will function as a Network Subject Matter Expert and lead for the 20 person Global Broadcast Service Operations Center (GBSOC) supporting the 50th SCS at Schriever AFB CO, Combatant Command (COCOM) Theater Information Managers (TIMs), and GBS Receive Suite users down range. Primary responsibilities are to provide technical leadership and tier II support for DoD network maintenance and monitoring. Candidate shall be responsible for resolving technical problems providing level-II support in responding to application inquiries, specific technical problems concerning GBS services and support, and managing problems through resolution. Individual will train/oversee others who will be experts in customer service skills, applying technical knowledge and resolution management in accordance with ITIL Foundations and USAF standards. Help desk support is available 24 hours per day, 7 days per week, telephone or e-mail; requiring this candidate to make accurate and independent decisions to resolve issues resulting in minimum outages/downtimes. The help desk shall log all calls and offer triage services on first contact, provide warm handoff transfer capability, monitor service levels, and provide callback or escalation on open tickets. The helpdesk shall handle all tickets to closure with reports on disposition made with time taken for completion to the 50th SCS staff. Additional reporting on GBS system health and coordination of system events is required. Candidate will be responsible for reporting on GBS system health, coordination of system events as required, and provide training and oversight to fellow Network Analysts on shift.

Qualifications: Prior leadership, supervisory or lead role experience at a military Operations Center, help desk, or other IT/communications work center; experience with DISA troubleshooting procedures and ability to perform maintenance and configuration of network devices; great customer service skills and availability to work flexible shifts. Candidate will need prior experience with military organizational status reporting and intimate familiarity with GBS. Individual will be required to be DoD 8570 Compliant within 60 Days of hire start date.

Security Clearance: Secret

Education/Experience: Bachelor's degree from an accredited college in a related discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education, with 9 years of professional experience; or 7 years of professional experience with a related master's degree.
