About the Job:

This role is the lead authority and resident expert in R&D on health and nutrition matters including providing guidance/approval on the technical validity of claims, technical assessment of bioactive ingredients and coordination of research programs with external partners, including initiation and execution of clinical studies.

About Your Duties:

 Provide nutritional leadership for the food and supplement business and actively develop new propositions

 Proactively define health trends that offer future opportunities

 Assess current portfolio to recommend improvements in ingredients and nutritional benefits

 Company representative with industry associations and external organizations regarding nutrition matters

 Identify & establish strategic partnerships with scientists, key health organizations to broaden companys capabilities

 Provide guidance (including functional benefits and risk assessments) on ingredients and product designs

 Develop recommendations for claims as well as review and approve nutritional labeling and advertising for technical accuracy

 Lead the technical development of GRAS positioning for any new commodities utilized in our products working in coordination with internal Regulatory resources

 Safety and efficacy validation of bio actives

 Propose and manage clinical testing in coordination with internal and external resources

 Claim support/development with Legal

About Your Experience:

 Advanced degree in nutrition, biochemistry, food science or related scientific field; Ph.D. preferred.

 4 or more years of responsibility in food and/or supplement nutrition role

 Leadership role in managing multiple nutritional projects

 An established network within food and/or supplement industry, as well as academia
