Eventbrite is seeking an experienced Senior QA Engineer to work closely with our product and engineering team to test and validate our site’s consumer-facing features. The ideal candidate has contributed to the delivery of great web products used by millions and has contributed significantly to setting high quality standards across functional teams. Responsibilities:
Perform functional, cross-browser compatibility, system and performance testing in an agile software development environment. Analyze, summarize and report results of executed tests. Work closely with product support and development team to resolve issues/report clear defects. Develop and maintain QA testing procedures. Develop and use custom tools for testing and validation. Mentor other QA engineers on QA processes and testing procedures. Review and provide feedback related to architecture, product functionality, technical designs and implementations as well as testability of the applications to the QA and product development team. Responsible for developing test plans and comprehensive test cases/scripts based on requirements, functional specifications and test cases for functional, regression and integration testing; execution of test cases/scripts and logging of results. Must be able to handle delivery of multiple projects at same time if needed. Work with the Customer Support organization to help resolve post-release issues. Requirements:
7+ years software QA and/or engineering experience. Experience with web server (Apache) configuration on Unix/Linux. Full stack knowledge of web technologies (DNS, apache, HTTP, HTML, CSS, javascript, AJAX). Working knowledge of databases (MySQL). Extensive knowledge of cross-browser compatibility issues. Ability to react professionally to dynamic and changing requirements. Ability to create clear and concise bug reports with actionable steps to reproduce. Working knowledge with GIT source control and Python Django framework is a big plus. Experience with Open source testing tools (Selenium, TestMaker, PyUnit) is highly desirable. Must be self-motivated and work on-site in San Francisco.
