The Trainer/Auditor is responsible for creating professional training materials for the training and auditing of new and existing operational and physician practice management staff. In addition, the Trainer/Auditor monitors the performance of staff through random and select audits and anticipates and recognizes problems associated with processing of complex issues, which may include a variety of elements requiring independent judgement. Other responsibilities include: evaluating applicable policies and procedures and recommending changes as appropriate; tracking, monitoring and reporting error trends; and recommending and conducting additional training.
The ideal candidate will possess the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and have excellent interpersonal telephone etiquette and customer service skills. In addition, must be able to communicate effectively and work in a fast paced environment. Strong analytical and problem solving skills a must.
Requires an Associate's degree or equivalent of education and experience. Bachelor's degree preferred. Requires a minimum of 4 years recent work experience in medical claims processing, eligibility and customer service. Must have work experience in a health care or managed care environment along with knowledge and experience interpreting benefit plans. Must have advanced to expert knowledge of CPT, ICD-9 coding and medical terminology. Advanced to expert proficiency in MS Office Suite required along with the ability to operate basic office equipment. Some travel may be required.
