Currently, we are seeking qualified candidates for a Senior Financial Analyst opening to join our North American Region's (NAR) Investment Decision and Analysis organization.
Day to Day (what a typical day or week look like in this role)
This is a great opportunity to be a finance leader within the North America Center of Excellence for Capital Investments and Restructuring Analysis. We develop financial business cases for the NAR category business teams to drive strategic, value creating investment decisions. These investment decisions include product innovation, model-line updates, sourcing decisions, Manufacturing and GOP actions and cost & quality analyses that support positive growth in PMR, EOP, and market share. We are an integral part of project teams and work with them throughout the lifecycle of a project. On a day-to-day basis, you will be working with the Laundry Product Business team, Manufacturing divisions, Project Managers, and Product Senior Finance Managers to validate business case assumptions and then communicate the financial metrics of the investment to all levels of the organization, including the CFO.
What You Will Do
Develop robust financial business cases for the NAR category business teams to drive strategic, value creating investment decisions
Ensure business cases adhere to Global Business Investment Policy and utilizes Global Business Investment Tool
Communicate with marketing, engineering, supply chain, manufacturing, quality, merchandising and sales to build robust business case assumptions
Perform appropriate risk and sensitivity analysis
Coordinate the appropriate reviews of business cases per C2C guidelines
Present business cases to product category, senior finance leaders and GFLT (Global Finance Leadership Team that includes Whirlpool's CFO and Treasurer).
Drive communication and alignment with Product Finance Sr. Mgr and PBT (Product Business Team)
Provide project managers with Key Performance Indicators to drive execution
Provide thought leadership to ensure robust business case analysis
Complete post-launch and post-audits requirements
Incorporate post-launch and post-audit learnings in future business cases
What You Need To Succeed
Bachelor degree in Accounting/Finance, or equivalent
MBA preferred, not required
CPA/CMA preferred, not required
Knowledge of SAP or similar ERP system
Strong operational finance knowledge and problem resolution skills
Outstanding communications, analytical, planning, and teamwork skills
Outstanding people skills with the ability to communicate and interact with all levels of the organization and with many diverse individuals and cultures
Achievement oriented with the ability to work independently
Advanced user of MS Excel. Intermediate user of MS Access and Powerpoint
